gazza123 51 Report post Posted December 8, 2015 Horse racing in nz needs to live in the income it produces now,its no use complaining about stakes if you put on million dollar races that don,t generate enough income to provide that stake,all you are doing is subsidizing a sector of the industries,sires and sales series races are great with % of sales price going to stake but they should not have subsidy from non sales or home breds,we don't need political leaders,the racing board is a knowledgabile enough without the two clowns heading it,raceday stakes need to be based on each days turnover so clubs know financially where they are at ,not hoping for one big day to offset other days..its amazing that HRNZ has been told that a new handicapping system is needed in nz but they refuse to open their eyes that the system is slowly crippling nz racing.why are horse going to Australia answer because they have a system that retains racehorses,if nz was a better system aussie owners would be sendind their horses here 2Piper 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
