pilli 81 Report post Posted September 4, 2012 Can we have another version for the Finals Series please ? Am totally happy scoring any version for the Finals Series that entrants prefer! Open to suggestions, especially from yourself..as you continually run awesome, well thought out comps. As you realise,Brian started this NRL Comp (and Super 15)..and I didn't want to see it die when he departed,so continued with his scoring, albeit an unusual formula. I had planned on duplicating how ZIGGY scored the Super 15 Playoff Series.ie all games accrue DOUBLE POINTS,with Round 26 Totals carried foward. However, the comp only exists with entrants,so totally relaxed to run with majority wishes.. It certainly promises to be an exciting Playoff Series, with at least half the teams being realistic title contenders. Awaiting reply's..Kevin. Idolmite 2,562 Report post Posted September 4, 2012 The scoring system as it stands is certainly strange, in that you can select the winner of 7/8 games on a certain weekend yet get beaten by somebody that only selects 1 winner, albeit a runaway winner. I've often wondered whether it would be better kinda how it is now, but with 1 or 2 bonus points for every winning team selected over and above (for example) the 21.6 points one can score from the 216 points scored by their 8 chosen teams. HOWEVER, I think as we've done a full season with the points being allocated the way they are, we should stay the same for the duration of the 2012 season at least. The only suggestion I would make, for the playoffs, is that as we normally have 8 games per weekend we could consider going double points for a 4-game weekend, quadruple points for a 2-game weekend and 8-times the points for the Grand Final. Just a thought........
