*Selections this round were heavily weighted towards the favourites.

With Sharks (20-7) being the best result for those bold enough to predict an upset.

*Top effort by Turny, who takes this weeks scoring honours with 6/7 correct.(and within 1 point in Broncos loss)

*With 5 games decided by a try or less, including 2 by a single point..our scoring was rather condensed this round.

*The penultimate round saw selections heavily weighted towards the favourite teams, however 3 upsets all with blowout scores saw the brave well rewarded.

*Raiders 34-6 v leaders Bulldogs started the weekend poorly for most, and only PILLI amoung the frontrunners benefitted.

*Panthers 36-22 and Roosters 44-20 were the other giantkillers, with POGO and PETER JENKINS the only wise duo to nab both.

*Whilst the long season has taken its toll, with a few contestants dropping away quicker than The Warriors Defence,a new entrant GR8K9Z tried his skill, though fell victim of playing with all the favs.

A near perfect result for POGO,with a final minute try to Storm in Game 8 all that stood between The Loan Ranger (only person with any faith in Sharks)and 8/8!

The Jenkins Clan also flew high this round as the only others with 7/7.Youth triumphed over experience with Bryn gaining family bragging rights.

Pilli consolidated his spot on top,but the weight of the leaders jersey can quickly be a burden with Double Scoring Playoff Games looming.

Can we have another version for the Finals Series please ?

Am totally happy scoring any version for the Finals Series that entrants prefer!

Open to suggestions, especially from yourself..as you continually run awesome, well thought out comps.

As you realise,Brian started this NRL Comp (and Super 15)..and I didn't want to see it die when he departed,so continued with his scoring, albeit an unusual formula.

I had planned on duplicating how ZIGGY scored the Super 15 Playoff Series.ie all games accrue DOUBLE POINTS,with Round 26 Totals carried foward.

However, the comp only exists with entrants,so totally relaxed to run with majority wishes..

It certainly promises to be an exciting Playoff Series, with at least half the teams being realistic title contenders.

Awaiting reply's..Kevin. :)

The scoring system as it stands is certainly strange, in that you can select the winner of 7/8 games on a certain weekend yet get beaten by somebody that only selects 1 winner, albeit a runaway winner. I've often wondered whether it would be better kinda how it is now, but with 1 or 2 bonus points for every winning team selected over and above (for example) the 21.6 points one can score from the 216 points scored by their 8 chosen teams.

HOWEVER, I think as we've done a full season with the points being allocated the way they are, we should stay the same for the duration of the 2012 season at least.

The only suggestion I would make, for the playoffs, is that as we normally have 8 games per weekend we could consider going double points for a 4-game weekend, quadruple points for a 2-game weekend and 8-times the points for the Grand Final. Just a thought........

I like your last suggestion Barry. Perhaps the scoring systen could stand a rejig next season but double/triple/quadruple points according to the number of matches sounds good.

Shall leave this open for further posts/discussions until 8pm tonight.

Am definitely happy to 'tweek' current scoring system incorporating above suggestions to some degree.

Cheers.

Thanks for your feedback.

Shall run with Idolmite suggestion, backed up by PJ.

Whilst a system incorporating Win Bonus Points would be warranted Next Season, bit late to introduce such a new change this year!
