  1. Race 7 at Addington, odds on favourite Mystery Beach strides to the lead early. Then allows stablemate The Coalman to go past into the lead, then pulls out to go around to take the lead again giving The Coalman a beautiful sit. The Coalman who evidently shortened in the betting just before the race took the lane and won. All through the day us punters were told the stable and driver stating Mystery Beach was the best of the day.
  2. No doubt he's the best, but I've lost count the amount of times he's retired and come back lols. Especially as this time he absolutely maintained he was done 100% this time. How many of us thought he would come out of retirement AGAIN ?
  3. Oh yes, I noticed him handling ???
  4. Who are we talking about ?
  5. Yep, has slotted in effortlessly, and agree with WD complete natural. I'm struggling to think of any others apart from maybe Greg O'Connor that are natural in front of the camera. Mind you, that's a difficult attribute to achieve.
  6. Does anyone know when or if Sam is due back to ride ?
  7. That's your opinion, but I'm pretty sure I haven't posted about Evans week after week, after week, after week. Anyways I have told you a million times not to exaggerate
  8. Now who's going on
  9. Well it looks like Justin reads this channel, because he said nothing and just concentrated on the races, until Pip brought up Queensland and The Warriors then away he went. He was hoping and praying someone else would start it up because he stated he got moaned at for bringing it up. A couple of things Justin, it wasn't so much you brought it up, it was the fact you forgot all about the racing and went on and on and on.
  10. I'm surprised nobody has made comment on the ride of Bruno yesterday on Gallant Hero. You could be forgiven for tearing up your tickets when he lost his irons for a good 400 metres, but he didn't give up. He was frantically trying to move the saddle back to allow him to try and regain his irons, which he miraculously did. Then the horse fought on really well to get second. I've never seen that before, but in any case it was awesome horse manship.
  11. Maybe that is why he's there and Tony isn't. They all tend to dribble on about things, Popplewell American football. Evans, Rosanowski, Pip, Simon, Fogarty and others league etc. But Evans takes it to another level, you almost forget there are races on and go to turn the bloody TV off. Can you imagine T.Lee agreeing to prattle on about anything but the racing, which we as customers are paying to hear.
  12. Your going off on a tangent to the subject matter. God help us if Trackside get him presenting again after Queenslands win. And if he's commentating then they need to cross over to him when there is only 5 seconds left.
  13. There is nothing worse than a very uncool person actually thinking they are cool ! Cringe Cringe !
  14. I don't know if it's part of the script, but when he's been presenting in the studio on Sunday and now today. He just went on and on and on about the NRL and Origin match. It was relentless, racing went out the window and every conversation he started with co-presenters or commentators was about the league. He is a real "I am man" .. I this that and everything. When it includes someone else it's "Me and Pip" instead of "Pip and I" .. as an example. Trackside please muzzle him, and just let him commentate races. You want people to listen and engage, but with people like him it's like Japanese torture so the mute button is engaged
  15. Yep, I thought the same. Any punters who had money on it wouldn't have been to impressed.
  16. Yep wasn't good to see jockeys flying through the air, and horses falling left right and centre. Chloe Swarbrick will be onto it soon.
  17. Umm how is that related to Billy Jacobson today ??
  18. Then in the last race rides Sir Sterling on the fence the whole way another Dennis horse for a good second. So it makes the previous ride even more perplexing
  19. So again it's Wingatui, and just watched race 8, never had a bet but if I did then would have been The Hangover. Glad I didn't, late in the day and the bias is from inside to the middle where they have been winning all day. What does Billy Jacobson do ? Swings about 100 wide on turning into the straight losing about 20 lengths runs a distance away 4th. Surely Robert Dennis wouldn't have given that instruction. What ever way you look at the punters would have ripped their tickets up on the home straight. Surely the Stipes will be asking jockey WTF was that ?
  20. I'm seem to be picking on Bevan a bit. But sometimes I find it hard to hear what he's saying mainly when he's interviewing like today with Allan Sharrock he sounds like he's mumbling. I don't think he has the microphone close, and is too busy getting ready to ram it into the person he's interviewing. I could understand Allan Sharrock clearly enough. It's just little things like this, and when he's in the studio leaning on his desk. These little things make an average presenter become a little more professional. Obviously nobody at Trackside picks up on these things and aren't looking at continual improvement.
  21. You're missing the point
  22. Today at Wingatui right from Race 1 it was obvious that being as near to the outside fence as possible in the home straight was the place to be. I backed Our Bo Jakk in Race 2 and the jockey took a gamble by staying to the inside, I'm sure it would have won if on the outside, but being only Race 2 maybe it was worth the risk. But when I saw Hayley Hassman riding the hot favorite from Walker stables in Race 6 stay hard against the fence and run last you have to wonder what the instructions were ?? I was more than worried because I had already had a bet on one of her rides later called Ex Aye, but no worries she kept it wide, and came down the straight hard against the outside fence and won. I just don’t understand, why she and a few others tried going through the glue, especially on a Walker/Bergerson hot favourite 6 races in ??
  23. Some clowns used meth on their racing greyhounds. How they were never banned for life again beggars belief
  24. Why aren't they out trying to get the general public behind them. For crying out loud the Green Party are pretty insignificant. But like always those in the industry seem to just meander along letting things take their course, which is going down the path of oblivion. Once it's gone ... It's GONE This industry has never dealt to the ratbags, an example being one who became president of a greyhound club, just beggars belief. No wonder perception of this industry is so clouded.
