  1. I know it gets there but it's in such a tailed off useless hopeless position I still have me doubts it's gonna get there and I know the result .I would have tossed the ticket a furlong from the bend .
  2. Some these jockeys need to amp up with Imagine Dragon, " whip whip run me like a racehorse " . Might have to blank out those lyrics when whips banned . In fact just play the song to horse pre race or with earphones in, in final furlong it's a defo extra 5 per cent song when under pump physically .
  3. It's going to be a great race in few weeks , do you think anything can do both of them , in fighting terms do a Ruiz job on them . Alabama Express ? Castlevecchio what's he up to ? . Chenier will be fitter , wiser .
  4. Time Warp ran up a sequence with Sir Mark Prescott up to listed class , same as Viva Pataca about 15 years back who did same . Prescott regularly gets a horse in form and runs up a sequence through the weights . Moreira hasn't been on Time Warp since Nov 2017 , now 3 rides , 1 win and two nosed out into second . I use the Racing Post or HK Jockey club sites for HK , Tab very average .Annoys me how the leader almost gets cut out by show for next race onscreen too , but good it's on TV I suppose . Wonder how they working the border restrictions with those based at Conghua , maybe they just not running those horses at moment.
  5. Moreira just dealt out a masterclass on old Time Warp tonight in HK Gold Cup. Minimal whip, judge of pace, drive him home .
  6. Frankel owes a bit to his brother Bullet Train in that regard , mind you his first pacemaker got sacked from job after Frankel busted him up early in Guineas .
  7. Football/soccer is bursting at seams at youth level, committees at the clubs working like mad . It's got some real life in it and great kids coming through . I've seen couple under 13 sides from here put it to Sydney FC kids so it's well alive at grassroots here .Those at the top need to not balls it up like racing have , Caning national youth league huge mistake .
  8. I think the racing this summer at Ellerslie has been very good . Last few weeks in NZ there's been some really good horses/ races .
  9. Had scroll through big race entries Sydney in April . The one that stood out for something different was a new import from Hungary . Esti Feny , Hungarian Derby winner 2018 , ran in Slovakian Derby at Bratislava as well. Clearly very high up order in Eastern Europe , won a few group 1s and gone ok in two trials in OZ . Should be out in week or two I'd guess . Anyone know of any other Eastern European horses been out this way . Been a few but not many since Kinscem that went ok in in UK and France , especially over sticks .
  10. What sort of figure in total there today do you reckon , members , connections , workers . Total living humans on course , 1500 ?
  11. Chenier looks a big bugger , no trial , big lay off , 3rd career run against hardened geldings who've got some rounds under belt . I would have to look again but didn't look unduly punished once it obvious chance had gone . I know it got weight but it must improve lengths on that .
  12. Iam sure CT lumped on that Chenier when it got beat Sandown last April , iam sure the ticket got posted on here . Three cracking horses. Thought your horse was a chance at one point today , nice run .
  13. Better than the first two in time imho.
  14. Designed for the warm climate , loads shades , plenty of terminals , easy to get around saddling , birdcage , viewing good , it's a real winner .
  15. Fantastic place , one of my favorite tracks . Well designed .
  16. So what your saying is potentially the stable left money on the table . The stable have that many winners on the circuits 3 x meetings at Omoto missed , potentially some owners missed some money .I sure the owners are rich enough to not worry so good on them for sticking to guns .Iam sure the Clotworthy stable will like the current situation to carry on and spread to other tracks in SI .
  17. Don't appear to race them at Omoto either , with close downs , racing a total and utter basket case and stakes piss all business must be very confident blanking meetings . Might end up just racing at Reefton and Riccarton .
  18. Send it up to Saratoga , might get a win there I've heard .
  19. On brightside , this name dispute won't be on news tonight , although racing may well get a viewing from the general public by looks of it .
  20. Soho no , my income only stretched to Seven Sisters Road.
  21. When I read this post I had a real feeling of Deja Vu . Then I scrolled through thread again .
  22. Yes , that would put a different spin on it . Send an investigator or stipe . Speak to person who named it . Get the reasoning on record and away it goes . If he or she says I am doing it to take mick out of whole organisation then ban it , if it's because it's 25 generations back on sireline side is named after the general than planned the Battle of the Somme then it's a goer surely . Then it's there on record .
  23. To be fair GOM , I am coming at this thread from the obvious angle of they have asked this question of the person naming the beast and were not happy with answer . A scratch without the question being put on that person would seem odd .
  24. How you getting the name out of the breeding ? . Street Siren ? If I was dealing with it I would have an quick enquiry , get on record the reasoning behind name from person who named it . If it's due to breeding or some other reason not derogatory , not aimed at a person or organisation , sign a statement to that end and then surely it's free to go no issues . If of course later the owners use name to denigrate a whole branch of the organisation it shows them more as chumps than the organisation.
  25. You are one of many who have come to the conclusion iam a dickhead at times so not going to argue that point . On the point of horse names , part of rules would likely be nothing derogatory . If this name is indeed intended to denigrate a whole organisation imho it's correct it's been put on banned list . The rights and wrongs of whole saga I don't know but surely there's a review process at the end and that's the correct avenue .To have licenced people involved in the running of a horse that is named to undermine a whole organisation that is paid to keep industry on straight and narrow does not seem right and may put those licenced persons in an embarrassing situation that for all we know they don't want to be in . If the regulatory authority need a review racing people should push for it as part of reforms . In the meantime if it's denigrated to such an extent the possibility is people could decide not to contact them over matters they should know about such as welfare , drug use etc that cannot happen for sake of horses and people involved , there is a bigger picture . Iam told tens thousands make living out industry so it's not a vehicle for a few people's view however valid it may be . That horse wins a Derby , the publicity could make the racing industry as a whole look unprofessional to Joe Bloggs .
