Zak Hussai 12 Report post Posted May 9 I have noticed on this forum before that tipsters have often been disregarded as picking too many favourites. I personally agree and do you reckon that they should think a little outside the square and give us horses paying $10 or somewhere around there. I don't like backing favourites (and have sometimes lost money doing so), but anyone can pick favourites and to be honest there is not much skill involved, there are always way to play a race if there is a $2 shot with trifecta's or F4'S. NextPlease 290 Report post Posted May 9 Depends. If you want to get given tips for horses paying $10 and above, you'll have to cop that you won't win as often. Many people don't seem to understand that concept, and the concept of winning money in the long term is also lost of them. It all depends on value. If the tipster rates a runner at $1.80 and it's paying $2.60, why not tip it? JJ Flash
Archer 293 Report post Posted May 10 What I always found interesting was betting on the 2nd favourite, now most of the time you know why they are punting the fav, but why do more than few, figure the second fav will win ? JJ Flash
