  1. I give up, that's the exact she'll be right attitude that sets the mediocre from the top notch
  2. That's where things start, if you can't enforce the basics, then let's give up now.
  3. What is the dress code for male dog handlers at Invercargill ?? .. pretty sure it wouldn't be a white tee shirt. No wonder NZ Greyhound racing is becoming a laughing stock. I'm sorry but surely they at least make an effort
  4. He was interviewed after Third Decree won and decided to give punters a serve because it should have paid less than it did. " Don't people understand weights and measures for gods sake " .. answer to that Michael is a whole lot of people don't, and a whole lot of others maybe do. Regardless of anything it was pretty poor form especially after his runners made up the trifecta, why be so grumpy and belligerent ?? .. I don't think Marc Cookson expected the outburst
  5. I agree that it has had its day, move on. Great rider etc, but bet he is probably sick of it as well. Another couple that are cringe material are " let's bring it on " and "all dressed up and nowhere to go" .. I see he even incorporated that in a thoroughbred race the other day. Change things about guys and girls. Even the interviews when we get you know who asking trainers, owners or jockeys after a big win " describe to us how that felt " .. my answer would be .. " how the bloody hell do you think it felt ffs "
  6. Last race at Roxbrough Olives Dream had perfect sit in the trail. Just on the home turn bend the driver inexplicably swung wide and lost at least 6 lengths and finished better than anything to finish 3rd. I'm sure it would have won if it stayed in the trail, or even if she managed to control the horse when she asked it to go wide. I hope she gets fined for it, absolute shocker.
  7. Definitely, I thought Mercurial was going to fight it out with Bonny Lass, but as soon as Sam rested the whip it ran out. Great horses, trainers and jockeys involved. But I thought the field was lacking in numbers and absolute top draw sprinters. It is worrying, and just like our 2 milers .. we don't seem to compete anymore i.e Melbourne Cups etc.
  8. Cool, what about Cole handling another dog, when she had 2 of her own in the race ?
  9. Just watching today, 2 races in a row at Palmy the Coles have money back red hot favourites. Firstly Bigtime Messi well beaten 4th, kennel mate Hinda wins at 11. Next race red hot Cruiser last, kennel mate Butler wins ? .. neither of the hotties had any excuses. I also noticed that Ella Cole handled Liberty Taker someone else's dog even though she had 2 of her dogs in a 5 dog race with Cruiser red hot. Thought that is weird in itself. Thoughts ??
  10. The interest in the country is extremely low in respect to audience, participation, viewing, build-up, Trackside input etc etc. And yes why do our horses just stay home .. Mate ?
  11. Very good horse, but Interdominions have died, I don't know why they still have them
  12. Yep, and only got themselves to blame. I can't believe what has gone on over the last 10 - 15 years particularly, and nobody and I mean nobody has done a bloody thing .. it's getting worse. They talk about some dogs lacking in the top 2 inches ffs. It's a shame because there are some really good people within the industry but they are surrounded by incompetence and other which I won't say.
  13. What's going on with greyhounds in this country. Incompetence galore, meetings and races abandoned everywhere
  14. Not knocking him this week, at least he has picked a 5.5, 3.8, and a 7. Only hope he hasn't jinxed your one Jason
  15. Yeh, I see Tony managed to keep his composure just lols
  16. Adjourned for further consideration ffs. I watched that race and couldn't believe wtf she was doing. Further consideration won't stop it being one of the worst drives in the history of trotting.
  17. Obviously didn't have th guts scooby, and I imagine those working at Trackside are embarrassed that Tony is going and some of those numbskulls are still hanging around.
  18. Go Sam, she is in great form, and I think Stephen Marsh has found a jewel to ride some of his horses. Keep smashing it along with that beaming smile Sam, you so deserve it
  19. I thought Entain were going g to make good robust decisions that would be for the betterment of the industry. We are struggling for decent commentators at present. What happens ?? .. they get rid of the best commentator of them all ffs. Are we in a parallel universe where the industry are run by f#@* wits ? .. then I have to sit there watching Sweeney fronting Trackside leaning on his elbows pulling at his fingers again
  20. Yes, but the biggest problem is attracting and retaining good people in all facets of the industry. Unfortunately money is one of the issues that attracts bad people who are prepared to do bad things for financial gain, and the industry doesn't investigate and punish adequately to deter them. So that's where it has to start .. quality people, not quantity
  21. You still didn't answer my question about you stating putting stakes up improves the industry.
  22. Not her best ride, difficult to understand what the hell she was trying to do. I wonder if there was even a pre race plan because the horse was obviously not an easy ride.
  23. Yep exactly, and in the Bradley colors as well as a tribute to Elwyn Bradley who passed away last Monday. Nice work Jason and good tipping. Please come back to Raceform with your column, really enjoyed following your tips.
