He can still be healthy, sound, well fed and fit enjoying a perfect retirement, and not having to slog his guts out training and racing when he clearly doesn't and can't anymore. By your logic, because Richie McCaw is as fit as he's ever been he should keep trying to keep up with athletes that are now better than him. And he was the best, no doubt, difference being he knew when to retire. Sadly Sharp n Smart is desperately trying to tell connections that he can't do it anymore, but they aren't listening

Wow .. no need to lose your cool and start swearing. It's all about perception, and if you're a greyhound professional worker it's not hard to look presentable for TV. That's why there is a dress code. The dress code like the sport is in decline, because nobody is being held accountable. It has nothing to do with how hard someone works, or the old he or she is a lovely person. It's as easy as getting things right ... and not the old she'll be right attitude. That's my opinion, and obviously you don't agree. But hey that is absolutely your right.

Unfortunately they just don't have time to give us what as customers we should be getting. We used to get all of it, but now it's all about quantity not quality, so as the customer we miss out. Its all about turnover, one race off to the other and so on. Pre race content and comments available are just rubbish. The simple Turf Digest, and Friday Flash was all you needed back in the day, along with a good coverage of all things racing on Radio Pacific. Simple but effective and right in front of your eyes and ears. Dennis Ryan does a great job with Raceform though It's hard to blame the presenters because they're only doing what they are directed to do. Unfortunately it's not going to get any better.

Have noticed race fields with no dogs allocated box 1, but containing reserves 9 and 10 in the field. Fields in early races at Manakau and example. Have seen it elsewhere. Can anyone tell me why that is ??

Has the required standard dropped or do the Greyhound powers just don’t care anymore ? I observed a big fella take out a Cole greyhound Tira Miss You and he looked as though he had spilt a meal of baked beans down the front of his tee shirt .. not a good look on TV at all. I thought GRNZ were supposed to be cleaning their act up .. yeah right

Yep understand, and times change. Just saying if I had a Grey Way in Race 1 then I wouldn't be overjoyed. I can see that it would be difficult to try and ensure the track is at Good for the first few races.

I don't get how the track is soft ? .. I can't remember the last time it rained here. I live 20 minutes away from the track, and the sun is blazing today also. If I had a firm track horse in the first couple of races I would be slightly annoyed.

Because not everyone is an expert, experienced or punter savvy. Hence they don't really know any better and are being fed hogswash. I have a good friend who is a lawyer and he said they are treading on thin ice and it's bordering on fraudulent giving garbage and or false information to the customer who is spending their hard earned sometimes on the crap comments That is the issue, and I can't see how people can't see this. It's just not right.

I consider G.S as an ok commentator, no more, no less. He's not as good as he thinks he is that's for sure

I emailed TAB yesterday with a heap of examples of mistakes. Not so much mistakes but absolute garbage. Particularly under the "Last Start" tab. It was just rubbish with some just having no information, some stating last starts in 2021 or 2020 when they raced last week, 147 etc days since last raced when they raced a week or 2 ago, and so on. The AI crap is that bad and has got worse, people just give up and accept as crap. It's simply not good enough. Does that Entain NZ boss even know what day it is ??? .. they are too busy trying to appease the big owners and trainers they have no idea what is going on where it really matters

The big stuff yet to start, but I'm happy to say my highlight has already happened. What a horse, 62kg and all made no difference. Absolutely monstered them, congratulations to all concerned, obviously Alby is a master and knows this awesome horse inside and out

Went well ???? .. all favourites and for $1ew on all 6 spending $12 you got $8.6 back. But yes for him that is good. The whole point is its cringeworthy and a complete waste of time. Why don't Trackside employ someone with a bit of charisma, entertaining, and maybe just throw out a few winners outside the square sometimes. The Whale is a complete bore.

I see Karen Walsh has sold Thrilling Alfie on behalf of Gary Harding. Ironically a Syndicate called "Till the End" have purchased it. Up until today it had raced 4 times for 3 wins and a placing. Ironically and sadly it ran into trouble and broke down failing to finish in a 4 dog field
