Found a Graham Norton clip talking about some horse names that people tried to get registered; Ben Timover Neil Anblome Oil Beef Hooked (say it with an Irish accent for full effect) Anita Hanjaab Arfur Faulkesaycke and one we have all heard of, Hoof Hearted. I left off Wily Fisterbottom because that is just rude.

Take off those MAGA goggles Tripple A, and see your KIng for what he really is. President Ramaphosa conducted himself with with decorum in that meeting. As a diplomat should. Your King conducted himself like the school-yard bully, which he is. -
Welcome home to our favourite, famous, mighty champion son Lazarus 👏 🤗 I'm so glad he's home and owned here, this is his home, welcome home son, welcome home..... Cheers Iraklis

A very nice horse, and a very good win, but not Marcoola's first winner. That honour went to the Nathan Williamson trained Diva Bee at Invercargill lasy Sunday. A very impressive winner too. -

Looked a lot more than that to me...but hey what would I know...I am not an "expert"🤣 -
Yes, it has a layer of sand (25mm) over the soil/silt base Thats why it's called sand carpeting

If they took the time to walk the track then I am sure they would find the best going...seems not many do these days. Watched the race in question and I agree it was never given a hope, and I am normally a defender of jockeys. -
Well she had a choice in R2 and she didn't take it , I watched the race , didn't have a bet , watched the 2nd horse because Pam trains it and she was tracking to go wide coming to the straight and made the decision to angle back in , why? I have no idea . The winner wasn't exactly storming down the outside to win , it won because the Pam's horse was in the worse going , if she sticks to going wide IMO she wins . Also watched the race with the TA fav and watched the complete lack of decision making my first thought was for the poor bloody owners , never given a chance . The problem is the ability is decision making or lack of , in this case of this young lass who was drawn 1 surely she could have been given the instructions from someone wiser that if your going to get back then get to the outside , and under no circumstances stick to the inside . Now I'm no fan of jockeys when the tracks are deep , this is not just an apprentice issue , I watch race after race seniors thinking , or not , but trying to beat the bias , sometimes it comes off but not often . But it does my head in when a horse I have backed and drawn wide and the jockey makes the decision to go to the inside because it's wide open and easier than trying to work to the outside . Even watching beaten horses coming into the home straight and the jockey takes the knackered horse down into the heaviest shit because they think it's the shortest way , yes it is , but it's the bloody hardest way home as well .

Just missed in the second with similar tactics from a long last, so why not, when the draw and run gave her little other choice?

Good luck with that Portia Matthews rode one last weekend it never had a chance and got a warning...yes punters just doing their money cold and the TAB wonder why people dont bet on the races. -
7/March ATC Funding $166,651 GBR $195,713 + $29,062 16/3 Banks Peninsular $170,175 $227,917 + $57,742 23/3 Waimate $159,321 $205,237 + $45,916 30/3 Manawatu $88,508 $119,916 + $31,408 The Auckland meeting was a bit of an anomaly, the Favorites winning was at only 12.5% on the 56 horse, 8 race programme , normally it would be more like 40% plus. April had 27 meetings, but the Funding for the last week is not listed yet, but it looks like there would have been 8 meetings that made a profit.

I made the same point at the other place. Never gave the horse a chance to win, and never really made an effort to do so, and that usually results in a suspension? -
Today at Wingatui right from Race 1 it was obvious that being as near to the outside fence as possible in the home straight was the place to be. I backed Our Bo Jakk in Race 2 and the jockey took a gamble by staying to the inside, I'm sure it would have won if on the outside, but being only Race 2 maybe it was worth the risk. But when I saw Hayley Hassman riding the hot favorite from Walker stables in Race 6 stay hard against the fence and run last you have to wonder what the instructions were ?? I was more than worried because I had already had a bet on one of her rides later called Ex Aye, but no worries she kept it wide, and came down the straight hard against the outside fence and won. I just don’t understand, why she and a few others tried going through the glue, especially on a Walker/Bergerson hot favourite 6 races in ??

Might have stretched the truth for the moment BUT have a read , the stage is set for persecution . South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has signed into law a bill allowing land seizures by the state without compensation - a move that has put him at odds with some members of his government. The law "outlines how expropriation can be done and on what basis" by the state, the government says. It replaces the pre-democratic Expropriation Act of 1975, which placed an obligation on the state to pay owners it wanted to take land from, under the principle of "willing seller, willing buyer". The new law allows for expropriation without compensation only in circumstances where it is "just and equitable and in the public interest" to do so. Attacks on white landowners has been an ongoing issue in South Africa. In 2023 there were 49 murders and 296 attacks on white farmers, according to the South African NGO AfriForum. -
How do you keep racing…. With so many meetings ….. losing money….

I was interested in this fellow too. Was disappointed in his first start and though drawn wide yesterday cruised to the front into the straight but gave it away the last 200. I expected better. Jury is out for mine.
