Waterhouse to train Rock 'n' Pop

Jimmy Choux is a year older, has yet to add an Aussie Group One at WFA level to his CV and his connections didn't take the opportunity to test him as a 3yo against the older horses. Taking that into account, I think Mrs Waterhouse's comments are about right.
  2. Is he on ALL TOO HARD?

    SUPER EASY in Singapore

SUPER EASY, the 3yo Colt by DARCI BRAHMA out of the Gold Brose mare, PARFORE, won the 1st leg of the 3yo Challenge in Singapore last night in dominant fashion, margin 1.3 lengths and untested. SUPER EASY is now eight wins from eight starts in Singapore. Link to race below.
  5. A win ticket on your horse given to the jockey before the race is a good option

    N.Z. Record Times

It is notable that no fastest time record i.e over all tracks as opposed to individual tracks, appears to have been broken in NZ since 2008 and some of the records have stood for many years longer than that. I am inclined to think that track watering may have a strong part to play in that.

    He's Remarkable and the Doncaster

Ah, I see, having two current superstars of the turf possibly not starting in one of the great races in Aus is somehow "good news."

During his phenomenal stud career, Danehill became a champion sire on both sides of the Equator. He is the most successful sire of all time with 349 stakes winners and 89 Group/Grade I winners[citation needed]. He was the leading sire in Australia nine times, the leading sire in Great Britain and Ireland three times, and the leading sire in France twice. He was a bay stallion by leading sire Danzig (by Northern Dancer) out of Razyana (by His Majesty). Danehill was inbred twice to Natalma in the third generation (3x3) of his pedigree. He was a brother to a stakes winner, Eagle Eyed, and two other stallions, Anziyan and Nuclear Freeze.[1] Danehill was owned during his racing career by Khalid Abdullah, who also bred him.

Thanks Apprentice for your comments. I believe your "mail" is accurate indeed.

I might be biased, but I thought Darci Be Good ran a bold 1600 metres in this race. Ridden cold, he finished strongly in the straight, suffered a couple of checks but was still very close at the end. He will be much better suited by the Rosehill Guineas' distance and of course the ATC Derby. He has been a bit "forgotten", but was very strong in the Spring.

    Big Buck's

Mufhasa is clear an enthusiast for the horse and we should celebrate that. The flat record he is talking about ( I believe) for most consecutive wins is about 56 held by a Puerto Rican horse. The point Mufhasa is making about BIG BUCKS is that he built up an extraordinary sequence of unbeaten runs over hurdles. He is not all suggesting that Big Bucks would beat BC or Frankel, just pointing out that his record in hurdle events is simply outstanding.

Superb result for all in NZ Oaks

You are right about the market thinking that ZURELLA was a good thing. Even the trainer had said on more than one occasion that ARTISTIC was a good "second stringer" to ZURELLA. And to be fair to ZURELLA, another stride and she would have won. Credit to Michael Coleman for "going early"; in doing so he established a critical break.
