  1. Did you sponsor the 9th at Trentham today??
  2. Would that be the boys at the Clayton Moderators Convention?!?!
  3. With such a high IQ you seem to have trouble remembering our real name to put under the fake one. Go fold a cardigan
  4. It cracks me up how the B Team always have these little "get together laugh a lot" sessions with their lil budddies. People, flick on a DVD of "Revenge of the Nerds" and you will get an indication of what they are like. Twidling thumbs, dressed in socks n sandals, and wind breakers Oh how those cold winter nights must fly by!!! :D
  5. Yes. I did post a similar statement in #281.
  6. Are you serious? Are you the Head of the Wellington Mafia or something??? Bizarre behaviour, very bizarre!
  7. Bert calm?? Interesting notion. Halftime/fulltime is within the same game, same day, same conditions (unless you live in Taranaki!),same officials, same core of players, same field/court,etc,etc. All this and your halftime winning team has a points advantage over the other RIGHT THERE AND THEN. Racing multi has two DIFFERENT races, with at least 2 days gap, perhaps different tracks, over perhaps different distances, with probably a more varied personnel/competitors than the 2nd half of a sports event etc, etc. Apples vs Oranges.
  8. Finally someone from "Team Sher-Bert" who can calmly put across their argument! Respect for that Manu. The halftime/fulltime score multi is solely for sport. It is definitely in the comparing apples with oranges bin (excuse the pun) when aligned to same horse multi bets in racing. Otherwise the winning horse of leg 1 would be off a 25m headstart in leg 2
  9. Trust me I wasnt asking for the formula so achieve some little victory if you didnt display it. I dont do "little victories" like some on here. Im actually damn interested in HOW and WHY they do it!!
  10. Read CT. Why are the bookies so weak that they are running scared when a punter actually has success in the 1st leg. Trying to get 2 successful legs with the same horse reflects the odds AT THE TIME THE BET IS PLACED! Anything can happen in leg 1 just as a lot can happen between both legs and during the running of leg 2. With all this in mind, shouldnt a punter be rewarded for their gamble on the vastly unknown?! Oh no lets lie down, praise the almighty bookie, get reamed good and proper and not be rewarded. "Credibility" is about showing some balls now and again. Where does that place the Bookie? (and dont go on about business practice ra ra ra - its a crop of crap how punters are treated regarding this issue).
  11. So you have the formula in front of you PFF?? If you do could you please post it on here FFS PFF.
  12. "All bookies have their own formulas and thats how the Aussies have their special Doubles and the Poms have their Scorecasts in soccer and the TAB does theirs. Its a bit messy how its displayed. It would be better just to say "Special Double, Horse A to win both", then you wouldnt have the grumbles by what looks like dramatic reduced odds on the second one. It is Mathmatical though, as it is a standard formula. Though you would be disadvantaged if you wanted to take Sir Slick to win the Railway into the Auckland Cup as Stats say no horse has done this and thus you should use a different formula." The following questions ARE NOT taking the p%## CT: 1. What are these formulas precisely? 2. If prices are actually stated on a ticket why do they continue to do so without notification of the formula and the true price to be issued on a successful multi?
  13. In a way CT, there is a chance of that. The issue of "related" has many levels but the examples given still do not give any real solutions. The example of a World Cup tournament being compared to horse racing is largely a poor one for mine. Teams in SOME tournaments HAVE TO win their pool to move forward and thus have a show of being overall winner. Horses dont necessarily HAVE TO win one race (presumably the 1st leg of some critters same horse multi) to ensure they win another (The 2nd leg. However they obviously do if they need to go up in weight, ratings, etc). So isnt this another part of the risk for the punter and an element that the bookies are relying on?? A lot of this issue has been based on the 2nd leg result and what happens to odds AFTER the 1st leg. Well what about those trainers/owners "using" the 1st leg as a guide, fitness test, or preparation run for the horse that has been punted? Why are we all presuming that our 1st legs are an automatic success. In addition (yes the notion that is the opposite of subtraction! ) we always see non-winners of races have their odds reduced for races they are nominated for, so why should successful punters have the 2nd leg odds of their live multi slashed considering they had the balls to predict the same horse to win two INDIVIDUAL races?! We assume our sacred bookies must think our Iron Horse 1st leg winner DOES HAVE some competition - true?? To use one of Berts once favourite words, where is the "credibilty" from an organisation when the price stated on a ticket wont actually be fulfilled?! The only "penny dropping" happening here is the coin goin down on our high risk, well planned, and unrewarded second leg!
  14. "Pro-Bert squad". How cute. By the way where is your esteemed leader??!! Theres a hint of Osama Bin Laden about our wee Bert.
  15. Humour us Bert....tell us your real name Tell us how your Matlock investigation is going and tell us again how you took Murray to the cleaners with the Tara Shield win
  16. It was a very good game of footy. Two teams who played how the game should be played and a ref who was accurate, fair and had consistent rulings that neither team could argue with or be slightly confused about. The best ABs test of the year but I have seen even better games in the Air NZ Cup and NRL. However what a relief (after seeing the tactics of England, Italy, Aussie, and South Africa) that there are international teams and coaches who WANT to play expansive and yet tough rugby instead of cynical, over calculated, aerial ping-pong.
  17. So can one "buy" their credibility on here?? Sad state of affairs if that is so. Heres a wee challenge Bert...Ill pay my financial support if you whack your real name under your "Bert". Up to you now.
  18. Because a ref is doing his job for once in terms of trying to promote expansive play. The ref has been outstanding in my opinion as he has been very inconsistent in the past.
  19. Two tries in this 1st half to the All Blacks rewarding their consistent efforts to run the ball this year (actually the last few years!). Great to see them create space, helped largely by a ref doing his job! (glory be!) French seem happy to use both kick n chase and move the ball through the hands. They look far more effective with the latter.
