  1. still looking for race horses to race over xmas.have had a few enquiries from other trainers wanting horses as well so can place them easily for the right type of horses. number above. thanks murray.
  2. gallopers required for s.I. stables.anything considered.best ones are horses with form or wins, just not quite good enough in north, better suited to s.I. racing. 036882877 or 0212319897.
  3. sounds like mug you have a dollar e.w.,if they win the gear they took off wasnt enough to stop them,if they lose it was.I would have thought it was good training to peak them for the big races, whats the diff. staying gallopers starting in races short of there best, all there to peak at the right time.
  4. are you saying then that these three horses arent going to win because of gear change,if not whats your point.
  5. people seem intent looking after 2.y.o and 3.y.olds,theres no problem giving them penalty free wins but have a cap on them, what you are saying unit is look after them and fk the rest, there are more of the rest running around than the aged group, start looking after them as well,it is so ridiculous that when border control wins his next race he stays a maiden.
  6. i agree with you ''stables'',i dont mind there been penalty free races for 2.y.olds,but they really do have to cap them,i think every 3rd win irrelevant of the stake should carry a penalty, under this system border control would be a c2 horse.
  7. dont think they will reimburse you, people have already been paid out who backed the other options and won, same as backing a race horse that runs second and gets promoted months later when winner tests positive. You win some ,you lose some.
  8. you have lost me,the ambulance waited for cars to go past, didnt have flashing lights on and if it was a red light the ambulance is allowed to go through them with caution if it had its lights on,only trivial matter but one that amazed me when Frank was in such a bad way.
  9. what surprised me was the ambulance leaving the course, they showed it on tv,didnt have flashing lights on,it mustve waited for at least 10 cars to get onto highway.
  10. the rule is there to help the punter,if i present a horse in birdcage which is meant to have blinds on and ive forgot, the stipes mark this down, they dont tell you to after the race, the trainer gets fined $100,how is this helping the punter, the horse has already raced without gear that was supposed to help it win, most times trainers add gear its in desperation and hopefully it might surprise the horse and it goes better, you say it helps you make your selections,i had a quick look at Forbury friday, there would be at least 15 horses with a change of gear, you cant back them all and most like myself who has 1 in is hoping more than good management that it will help the horse,in all the time ive been training not once have i added/not added gear to help it lose, and im prity sure not many have.
  11. would you punter back a horse because its got i.e. blinds on for first time.A trainer is fined for not notifying a horse having its first ever start having blinds on,what difference does it make for the punter if this is shown or not,im sure no trainer is going to pull a horse up by the gear its wearing or not wearing.I can put spreaders on a horse which will make more difference than half blinds but i dont need to tell anyone, its not notifiable gear, just doesnt seem to make sense.
  12. no doubt mug punter he was going to forget to put them on,but all trainers will applaud Sean for fighting a rule which in itself is rubbish, this notifying of gear is there for punters and i reckon their wouldnt be 1 in a hundred that takes any notice of it,they may read it but im quite sure it will or wont stop them from backing a certain horse, different with the gallopers where it does seem to make a difference. The rule as i see it is a money venturing thing and the only ones losing anything are the trainers,no need for it to be there.
  13. not quite true freespeech, she is a daughter of Allans wife, and no i think if you talk to Allan he would say he was harshly treated at times, depends what side of fence you are on.
  14. not sure how you are going to avoid conflicts of interest, you stated Shane being related to the starter,Shane also spent many years with Dean Taylor,is this a case of conflict of interest when Dean has horses in race with Shane the stipe.I think you may find to many cases to mention to just single out this one.
  15. this is exactly like i stated a while back, why horses should not be allowed 2 starts in 1 day, they should have to be scratched by withdrawal time if they have been placed in 2 races.last race at Forbury was a prime example. This case is a little different but ended up been the same result.Have heard their is a chance that this rule of 2 starts is going to be opposed and i for 1 is going to back it.
