BIG KAHUNA CHARITY PUNTERS CLUB CONTINUES THIS SATURDAY

I see that a couple of races at Te Rapa on Saturday are celebrated in honour of Frank and Colleen Ritchie and their 50 years of marriage.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, Frank Ritchie to me was simply the trainer of Bonecrusher (probably the horse that I enjoyed seeing race the most).

A couple of weeks ago, I joined Stu Hale's Waikato stud tour for a day and sat across from Frank.  We had a few chats through the tour and he came across as a lovely guy, so genuine, interesting and interested.

So to Frank (and Colleen), congrats on an amazing milestone.  I hope you have a great day of celebration on Saturday; and Miss Dalghar wins the fifth race for you.
