emiliana 11 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 My deepest sympathies to the Gray family, I had the pleasure of staying with them many moons ago and they made my first trip south one of the most enjoyable. Rest easy Murray

23Tank 33 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 He had been a successful trainer for a long time....remember Giovanetto who ran second?? in a NZ Cup. My sympathies to the family. Giovanetto was one of the first Harness Horses I ever followed and as Blossom Lady was one also, that quinella was very sweet in my first live cup. Always followed the Murray Gray trained runners after that but he never had another pacer as good. Condolences to his family and friends

Goldstar 4 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 Meet Murray 20 years ago when he leased a couple of horses of me, and over the last 3 years I have called in monthly when in southland on business. A top bloke who always took the time to stop for a bit of a yarn. Sadly missed, Steve & Bonnie Evans
