INVERCARGILL

Race 1 ANGELISTIC showed promise with a 4th place finish, performs well in wet conditions. COURVOISTER, a former northern runner, won a jump-out race and is worth considering. Keep an eye on PINX, a mare from Little Avondale with lineage from Per Incanto.

Race 2 HELLY BELLY had a decent run at Riccarton last time, lacks 1400m experience but is fitter than many in this race. With blinkers on, AERIAL BLUE has a chance to win if it handles the track well. INDUSTRAILIST, with 4 kgs off, boasts good stats and is a strong contender. OHIWA SUNSET, from a good stable, has a lightweight chance for a win or each-wa

Race 3 AUTHORITY has improved with two runs on this track surface, could surprise from barrier 2. SMOOTH OPERATOR, despite a forgettable last run, performs well on heavy tracks and has been consistent recently for an each-way bet. STOP YELLING is capable of a strong follow-up performance, making it one to watch for good odds.

Race 4 features THE ROYAL DIVA, with promising breeding, worth keeping an eye on. ZADANE could offer good odds, especially after showing promise at RICCARTON. HALLELUJAH BROTHER could benefit from a 4 kg weight reduction, presenting a chance for success in this race.

In Race 5, MASTER ABRAHAM has shown consistency in recent races and appears to be a strong contender here. AMALFI COAST performed well at Otago on a G4 track, and could win if comfortable with the current track conditions. ESHAY had a strong run on Friday, and the 1600m distance suits, making it a chance if it can maintain it

In Race 6, DE RUSSIAN ROCKET is our top pick for the day. With reduced weight and good form, it's a strong contender. BEAVER FEVER, with a catchy name and promising breeding, could provide a surprise. Keep an eye on RATATOUILLE, which is partly owned by a Southland rugby legend.

In Race 7, ATAAHUA PIPELINE appears overdue for a win and is likely the favorite. GUNNAR, despite being second up, has shown consistency in recent races, so keep an eye on the market. ZACAT has a claim, which could make it a contender for a place, especially in each-way betting.

In Race 8, ASTRADEEL has a strong chance despite recent unlucky runs and should be considered a likely winner. PAR TEE, despite a disappointing run on a G4 track, could bounce back. SUTHERLAND has solid track and distance stats, making it a contender.

In Race 9, GENTLE BEN stands out as the class horse, coming off a good run at Riccarton. FAH LUN is another one to watch, with three runs in and poised to hit form. ZAMBEZI ZIPPER's last run over 1600m suggests he's well-prepared for this race and could be a major contender.

Good luck STEVEO.
