TRAINER SUSPENDED OVER EPO CHARGES

Michael Tubman has had his licence suspended pending an investigation after the Kembla Grange-based trainer was allegedly found in possession of substances, later determined to have contained Erythropoiesis-stimulating agent, known as EPO.

Racing NSW stewards said yesterday that they were made aware of the substance by the NSW Police Force which led to the seizure of a vial of Coforta which contained the EPO during a raid on Tubman’s premises on June 14.

Tubman has been suspended pending a hearing into the charge of possessing a prohibited substance and has seven days to move his horses and five days to provide submissions to the charge.
