Westbury Stud resident Swiss Ace sired his 12th individual stakes winner when Little Giant landed the Group 3 Sha Tin Vase (1200m) in Hong Kong on Sunday.
Carrying a testing weight of 60 kilograms, Little Giant settled in sixth place in the nine-horse field before exploding into contention in the home straight. He took the lead inside the last 200 metres and went on to finish three-quarters of a length in front of Dragon General, clocking a quick 1:08.82 for the 1200 metres.
Swiss Ace will stand for a fee of NZ$10,000 (plus GST) in the coming breeding season. His other stakes winners include Group 2 Great Northern Guineas (1600m) victor Swissta while Little Giant is a brother to the Listed stakes winner Top Prospect.
