SOMERVELL QUITS CAMBRIDGE

SOMERVELL QUITS CAMBRIDGE

Veteran Cambridge trainer Lee Somervell is hitting the road for a fresh challenge at Hastings.

He says “a change of circumstances” at Cambridge Lodge has convinced him to make the move. He did  not  elaborate.

He will take his entire team to Hastings, where they will be based on Dianne Sergeant’s 10-acre property.

A number of his clients lived in the CD and had no no issues with him changing locations.

Somervell, 73, is taking a “if I don’t do it now I ‘ll never do it”  attitude toward his big shift.

He hopes to be well resettled  by the second day of the Hastings carnival, where his sole runner is likely to be Stradivarius.
