Watched by part-owner, Cronulla Sharks league strongman Paul Gallen, Te Akau Shark blitzed his rivals,  leaving them in the dust over the final 200m.

Outsiders Boots N All and Kolonel Kev were second and third.

Te Akau trainer Jamie Richards’  confidence went sky high after “unreal” trackwork on Monday “He’s an amazing horse”.

He was well back on the home turn today but when Bosson hit the go button. the race  as a contest was as good as over.

He won by 6 lengths in 1.36.

He wil now be set for an autumn campaign in Sydney.
