SECOND NZ WINNER FOR CHARM SPIRIT

SECOND NZ WINNER FOR CHARM SPIRIT

Jager Bombed provided Windsor Stud shuttle stallion Charm Spirit with his second first crop winner in New Zealand – and 40th winner overall – when he landed the Lion Red 2YO Maiden Stakes (1000m) at Whangarei yesterday.

Trained by Tony Pike, Jager Bombed was opening his account at his first start and he finished 1-1/4 lengths clear of Burgundy Rose in second, while Charlie Awesome was a further 3-1/2 lengths further back in third.

Charm Spirit is currently standing at Tweenhills Farm & Stud for a fee of £17,500, and his first crop of northern hemisphere juveniles yielded 29 individual winners in 2018.
