Bryce Revell gets serious about a shot at the NZ Cup with Duellicious at Woodville tomorrow. It will be his first Cup runner.
As usual the Riccarton examination of a horse’s stamina has drawn a patchwork quilt bunch of lower graded gallopers mixed with a few open handicappers.
Duellicious is $41 on fixed odds, probably fair enough considering her two-win record. But she is a horse on the way up while many others are stagnating.
Revell doesn’t mind a punt and he will likely find the price too tempting to ignore.
Duellicious.is out of a Duelled mare who won two but never looked like reaching open ranks.
She will likely complete her raceday preparation for the Cup with a run on the first day of the carnival.
Revell hopes to book Chris Johnson. If that comes off watch the $41 drop then.
Duellicious should take care of business at Woodville. Gorbachev and High Quality.pose the biggest dangers.
#Revell is still trying to qualify Ekstrememiss for the 1000 Guineas. At $151, the daughter of Gr1 winner Ekstreme, looks a forlorn hope.
