OUR INTRIGUE PRIMED FOR QUEENSLAND OAKS

Our Intrigue will be out to give Cambridge trainer Tony Pike another Group 1 in Queensland when she lines up in next Saturday’s Group 1 $A500,000 Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Pike continued his great winter when The Bostonian completed the Doomben 10,000 (1200m) and Kingsford-Smith Cup (1300m) Group 1 double at Eagle Farm on Saturday and reports that Our Intrigue has thrived since her last start win on the Sunshine Coast.

“She didn’t go at all at the Gold Coast and we were naturally concerned by another heavy track at the Sunshine Coast but she was too classy,” Pike said.

“She pulled up super and is working really well. She’s a genuine Oaks chance and should have enough prize money to make the field.”
