MCDONALD NOW HARVEY’S RACING MANAGER

New Zealand-born Luke McDonald, who spent the past three years with Darley, has been appointed as Gerry Harvey’s racing manager.

McDonald, the brother to prominent Sydney-based jockey James McDonald, will oversee Harvey’s bloodstock portfolio of more than 1000 horses in Australia and New Zealand.

Harvey is the owner of the Magic Millions auction house and Baramul Stud in the Widden Valley as well as shares in Vinery Stud and New Zealand’s Westbury Stud.

“Gerry and Katie have always been people I look up to in the industry and I look forward to working alongside them both,” McDonald posted on social media.
