Wanganui apprentice Sarah Macnab has fully recovered from the serious head knock she suffered in a fall in September but she has no plans to make a hasty return to raceday.
After several days in hospital Macnab was transferred to the ABI Rehabilitation unit in Porirua which specialises in head injury cases.
Mum Jane said scans had cleared her of any lasting damage and she was back driving and feeling her old self again..
She is back helping out at Kevin Myers’ property but she won’t mount another horse until completely convinced she is fit to ride on raceday again.
Jane said that was unlikely until at least February
“She is still young (19). There’s plenty of time to ride racehorses,” said Jane
