With New Zealand Cup Week upcoming, the last thing Te Akau wanted  was their No 1 rider hobbling about on crutches.

Bosson, banged the foot when Andoyas, his ride in the fifth, left the barriers awkwardly at Ellerslie on Saturday.

He said though Te Akau was still sorting its riders for Cup Week Bosson said he was keen to ride of Sword of Osman in the Gr. 1 2000 Guineas.

“He went  a lot better the other day,” he said.

Bosson, who is suspended this week, is still without a New Zealand Cup ride.

“I’ve left that to my agent.”
