WINGATUI JOCK Jacob Lowry hopes to make Saturday’s trip to Awapuni for a couple of rides a regular thing.
Lowry has been engaged to ride Rock Island Line by owners Go Racing.
”All going well I’ll do more riding for them and see how it goes,” said Lowry
“i’ll base myself at Wingatui and make day trips.”
Lowry has long battled to keep his weight down but he’s winning the battle for now. He can ride as light as 56 kgs.
The day’s feature, the Boehringer Ingelheim, formerly the Merial Mile, has drawn a tidy field.
Rosewood ($4.50) and She’s Poppy ($4.80) are the fixed favourites
