LACHLAN KING INJURED IN RACE FALL

Apprentice Lachlan King was taken to hospital after a fall in race seven at yesterday’s Melbourne meeting at Flemington.
King was riding Belgravia the Brew Handicap (2600m) when he was dislodged early in the home straight.
Belgravia suffered a serious injury and had to be euthanised.
An initial Victorian Jockeys Association (VJA) update said King was conscious and “complaining of elbow and knee soreness” and he has been transported to Epworth Hospital for observation.
