Top woman jockey Jamie Kah will miss the next feature race meeting at Caulfield after receiving a suspension at the venue on Saturday.
Kah pleaded guilty to careless riding aboard Sukoshi in the opening two-year-old race over 1200 metres.
Sukoshi shifted inwards when insufficiently clear of Beau Mertens aboard the Henry Dwyer-trained Forever Loud at the 400-metre marker. Stewards suspended Kah for eight meetings, categorising the inference as being in the low-range and also taking into account it was just her third suspension during the past year.
Kah will commence her suspension after next Saturday’s meeting at Flemington, missing the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) meeting at Caulfield on July 27. She will be free to ride on Monday, July 29.
