She may be royally bred but don’t expect too much from Giammetti at Te Aroha, says co-trainer Julia Ritchie.
The mare out of Telegraph winner Guiseppina starts her racing life in the 6th.
Her trials showings have been anything but stunning and will need raceday education before she measures up.
“She’s a big good girl like mum was,” said Ritchie.
“We might even give her just one run and then turn her out.”
Giammetti is Guiseppina’s first foal. There’s another waiting in the wings but she’s a fair way off from starting.
