Te Awamutu trainer Stephen Ralph’s stakes-winning pair Santa Monica and Speedy Meady will kick off their campaigns in the Group 2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) at Te Rapa next month.
Santa Monica won the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1200m), while Speedy Meady dead-heated with Vigor Winner to win the Group 3 Breeders Stakes (1200m).
“They have both had their first 300 metres gallops this week,” Ralph said.
“We are absolutely stoked with them, especially Santa Monica. She had three months out and she has come back looking more of a mature horse, a lot stronger, and has the same demeanour about her. Hopefully we can kick-off like we did last year and that could be in the Foxbridge.”
