I backed a 2yo Capitalist filly named Nazwah at her first start at Gosford a couple of weeks back.  She ran up to the trials and won pretty easily.  Didn't beat much but was untouched in winning by 3 lengths.

Dam (Najoom) was pretty good - won 5 from 7 including a couple of Group 3s.  Also the dam of the good mare Charm Stone.

Nazwah running in the first at Randwick tomorrow - step up in company but I think she might be a good'un.

I followed the form out of her trial (beaten by Ninja) who was very average on debut, but Nazwah has the breeding and she is a speedy type.

Shaggy goes quickly though, so she might take a sit behind the speed.

Early look at some possible value….

Flemington

R2 Post Impressionist - better track suits, trial winner  $8.50

R3 Shaime - very unlucky last start, scratched last week, draw a worry $20/5

R5 Federer - stablemate gone to Sydney, out of Jameka distance suits $5

R9 Cindy Falls - getting fitter, track suits $16/4 Ten Deep a danger, tough race

Rosehill

R7 Juja Kibo - looked very good last win, scratched Flemington $3
R8 Captain Furai - nice trial, likes heavy JMac on $5

R10 Herbert Park - scratched from Flemington ( $80k ) for this ( $160k )

2/2 on heavy tracks, blinkers on, sounds like a plan @ $26/5. 🙏

Maher stable runners Saturday…..👍

Rosehill (NSW)

Race 1 – Spaceballs

She has been stiff to not have a win against her name this prep. Steps up to Saturday grade but this isn't an overly strong race. Each-way chance.

Race 8 – Juja Kibo & Piggyback
Juja Kibo brained them last start at Sandown at midweek grade. He's a skinny quote and has yet to race on a heavy track. If he can get through the going, he should be winning.

Unlike her stablemate, Piggyback is a proven wet tracker. If Juja Kibo does happen to struggle or can't repeat his previous form, she will be the pick.

Race 10 – Cavallo Rampante & Spywire

Cavallo Rampante is first-up and will likely need the run. Drawn well and has a claimer on for weight-relief.

Spywire is third-up and desperate to get back in the winner's circle. Has been thereabouts last two runs and if Anna can navigate a sticky barrier, he has the figures to win this race.

Flemington (VIC)

Race 1 – Exit
A classy filly who returned in great style to break her maiden at Sandown. The race itself is a great stepping stone towards better races in the Spring. Deserved favourite and can go with it.

Race 2 – Ardakan & Wyclif

Ardakan led last time out and set a strong tempo which was to his detriment. Gets the blinkers on first time and finds a much easier assignment in a small field. Can improve.

Wyclif was a sneaky good run last start at Flemington over 2000m. Will love the step up in trip and would not surprise us if he is in the finish.

Race 3 – Epic Proportions
Comes down from New South Wales after a solid win at midweek grade. Never been down the straight but rock hard fit to feature in the finish.

Race 4 – Veloce Carro
Returns after a freshen-up. Typically fires second-up so may need the run. Is a proven straight-tracker.

Race 5 – Federer & Flamin' Romans
Federer has been building towards a win after a long time out on the sidelines. He finds an extremely suitable race stepping up to 2000m. Can win.

Flamin' Romans has had some time between runs where he was fantastic last time out with a well-timed run. Drawn unfavourably but will be hoping they run along and he can come home rattling late.

Race 7 – She Dances
Third-up for the stable following an improved run at Flemington off a slow temp. Hopefully they run along at a faster clip to recapture her form of old.

Race 8 – Vienna Vixen

A mare in form. Finally broke through for a city-win last start perfectly ridden by Jamie Melham. She stays on and gets her chance to run a race for good prizemoney.

Don't forget to watch Stern Idol bowl around at Sandown on Sunday in the Crisp Steeplechase. He goes around again at very short odds but it's always a great spectacle when he runs and Sunday should be no different!

Te Rapa

-   R1   -  Renaissa          -   $ 5.00    - 2nd on debut and primed to go one better here for an in-form stable.
                -   R2   -  Stewart            -   $ 3.60    - Visitor with a strong winter formline. Prospects here are excellent.
                -   R3   -  Jaffira              -   $  9.00   -  We've been waiting and waiting . . . and waiting some more.
                                                                               Today's the day, folks ! 🙂
                 -  R4   -  Nigelnomates  -  $  9.50   -   Has talent and this isn't an overly strong line-up.
                 -  R6   -  Soldier Boy      -   $ 3.70   -   Looks a standout in this.
                 -  R8   -  Trainwreck      -    $ 21.00 -   Did nothing last time but prior form was good. Bounce-back here.

You're not inspiring poor Max with confidence about Barcelona here, HokeyBlokey! Nothing agst Amber, just the 'last chance saloon' bit has got me a tad concerned about my 8-race Multi LOL. I'm holding on to the fact that she has placed on that track, which is very much a 'horses-for courses' jobbie.

One for Bendigo tomorrow Maxy. Been waiting for this filly since her one run at Caulfield a while back where she was impressive and unlucky.

R1 Point Barrow - currently $3.50 which is shorter than hoped but hey ho…tough race though, nice sorts in it.

LOL. Horses are more 'annaying' than Max (aren't they, esp the losing ones!)
oh and it's 'you're' in this case, not 'your'... don't thank me, learned everything I know from Miss Jools
