Maher runners today…..

Rosehill (NSW)

Race 1 – Who I Think I Am
A lovely filly making her debut off the back of a solid trial. Depending on track conditions and barrier, we may opt to scratch her on race morning.

Race 6 – Hi Dubai
Our ever-consistent mare lines up as favourite and features among Track Kat’s Data Tips for the weekend. She’s at peak fitness, maps to race on speed, and won third-up over 1100m last prep. We can’t fault her heading into this.

Race 7 – Naval Commission & Rise To It
Naval Commission has been racing well this prep and gets conditions to suit. If he can lift again, he’s right in the mix.
Rise To It ran well last start and has taken further improvement. He’s drawn wide and the ground may be testing, so we’ll make a raceday call.

Race 10 – Sacred Rocks
This super mare impressed in her Sydney debut at this track last month. She’s flying and the race maps well on paper, but from a tricky draw and with available races next week, we’ll keep our options open and decide raceday morning.

Flemington (VIC)

Race 1 – Angel Ladder & Jimmy Recard
Angel Ladder resumes and has her second run down the Flemington straight.  She’s a quality filly with plenty of upside and this looks a nice race to kick off her second prep.
Jimmy Recard heads back to Victoria after breaking his maiden at Gosford. Fit, well-drawn, and with Jamie Melham aboard, he should run a strong race second-up and is a nice chance.

Race 3 – She Dances
She Dances is second-up and looking to bounce back. She’s fit, handles the straight, and races on speed. If she can land in a good spot and return to form, she’s an each-way chance.

Race 5 – Goldenstatewarrior, Sammarco & Ardakan
Ardakan is third-up and steps out over a more suitable trip. He’ll need to improve but gets conditions to suit and should race forward.
Goldenstatewarrior was solid last start and is always around the mark — with some luck, he can go one better here.
Sammarco is well into his prep and has the blinkers on for the first time. With Jamie Melham up and a potential change of tactics to go forward, he should have no excuses.

Race 6 – Duchess Zou & She’s An Artist
Duchess Zou is flying and comes off a last-start win. She’s still learning but progressing quickly — an each-way chance despite tackling the straight for the first time.
She’s An Artist is the one to beat after her dominant win at the track last start. Drawn ideally and having previously beaten her main contenders, she looks the winner here.

Race 7 – Shockletz
Back for her third straight run at the track, Shockletz is in top form. The distance suits and she’s thriving — just needs a touch of luck from a slightly awkward barrier.

Race 8 – Detonator Jack & Holymanz
Detonator Jack is second-up and steps up to the mile — ideal for him. He’s drawn awkwardly but is one of Reece’s Best of the Day and Track Kat's Data Tips.
Holymanz is ultra-consistent and well-drawn. With the right run, he’s a top-three chance in a strong field.

Race 9 – Running By
Third-up and ready to fire. She carries topweight as the class mare of the field, and if she gets a smooth run in transit, she’s a strong winning chance.

Sunshine Coast (QLD)

Race 7 – Warnie
Warnie runs in the Listed Glasshouse Handicap as current favourite. He was unlucky last start and looks ready to bounce back. The spacious track should suit this progressive horse.

R8 World Alliance $7, Elouyou $8

R9 Green Fly $8

Jonas Vingegaard @ $3 is not bad value in the Tour de France if you want a bet you can follow for 21 days 😀

Tadej's an animal and might dominate, but Jonas was amazing last year considering his prep and should be better placed to challenge this year.

For those that might be interested, Unchained on Netflix is a great watch 👍

Thought Big Chief tomorrow on the synth was interesting overs at $46 despite drawing the car park.

Crazy run last start on debut did loads wrong was 10+ lengths last swinging for home then rattled off the fastest 200 and 400 sectionals for the day as a first starter.  Sired by ATC Derby winner Jon Snow so may appreciate the extra distance and could be excused for not going with them early last start 1400m.  No doubt Jamie Bullard has been working on the race day manners so worth a cheeky gold coin each way tomorrow, and a black book for future..

Riccarton synthetic again today. Just about given up on these..

R1 Go your own way $4 - been running on so distance should suit being by Belardo

R4 Franni Caccini $26/6 -can’t back with any confidence as too in and out….best is good enough.

Funfetti with the claim looks very hard to beat.

Canterbury

R6 Braveheart $5 - should improve on good run last start

R7 Lenape Vibe $15/4 - my comp pic a few weeks ago but scratched and stablemate won the race. Unlucky last start and 2/2 third up so worth a punt.

Waller has a few in this race.

He could/should have pushed out underneath the stablemate on the turn. He would have won, but he also might have picked up a fine along the way. It's the diff between so-so jockeys and the very best, but you back these jockeys knowing they are on.

It's a bit like betting on college football. You can't expect too much because they're not top pros.

The sooner they replace Brandon May on Go Your Own Way the better.

Should have won again today…🤬

Run out of patience with this one in the black book.  Thankfully also had High Pins & Friendofthedevil in the book so left it alone today.

Over the last 5 or so weeks I have spruiked a horse called Voice of Ohio , been heavy betting both times and has been slightly disappointing both times without being terrible , in race 2 at Ruakaka tomorrow , currently at 51s , 61s on the surge . Way over what it should be .

if your mad enough to go again as I am .

I am a big fan of Glenn Old, terrific horseman in my view.

I think the favorite will be hard to beat off some good trials, top jockey, top trainers and well drawn. My roughie would be Bethany Dee. Don't mind Greene as a trainer and Vinnie has been riding well over the past month or so.

Same race I liked a different roughie - Dont Tell Rachel.  But couldn't bring myself to throw anything on as that favourite looked very impressive at the trials.  Suspect it will be closer to $2.00 at the jump.

Maher stable runners today…hope they have R9 right…..

Randwick (NSW)

Race 5 – Federer & Piggyback
Federer improved last start and looks set to start favourite here. He looks to be peaking fitness-wise, and The Panel has him marked as one of their Best of the Day. Piggyback got the better of him last time out and was very brave in doing so — she’s flying and right in the mix again.

Race 6 – Rise To It & Royal Supremacy
Royal Supremacy should get conditions to suit on Saturday, and his recent runs have been better than the form guide suggests. He’s had a freshen-up, and the step up in trip should suit. Rise To It is holding good form and drops back in distance after a solid effort over 2000m. He presents as a strong place chance, and Track Kat has identified him as one of her Data Tips for the weekend.

Race 9 – It’s a Knockout
Our classy mare was impressive last start, producing sharp closing splits. She stays at the same track and distance and looks well placed to go on with it here. The Panel are confident in her chances and have also marked her as a Best of the Day.

Race 10 – Lady Boss
Lady Boss is fit and ready. She’s drawn wide and maps awkwardly, but if she can get a good steer from apprentice Braith Nock and produce her best, she’s capable of bouncing back to form.

Caulfield (VIC)

Race 1 – Life After Love ( scr ) & Signature Scent
Life After Love was excellent last start. She steps up in trip, has drawn well, and with Jamie Melham aboard, we’ll look to position her more forward in the run. Expect her to be right in the finish again. Signature Scent was electric on debut and has the inside gate with Craig Williams aboard. She gets in light and we’ll look to use the draw to full advantage. Reece is confident in her chances and has marked her as his Best of the Day.

Race 2 – Alero, Stay Humble & Scampi
Scampi has drawn well in gate 5 with Craig Williams aboard. There looks to be good speed in the race, and we’ll ride him quietly to take advantage of his electric turn of foot. He shapes as a strong each-way chance.
Stay Humble resumes here for his first run with the stable. He has a solid first-up record, drops in class, and has blinkers off for the first time — we’re expecting him to run well fresh.
Alero has drawn awkwardly and steps up in class, but he’s a horse with upside and we expect him to be competitive with even luck in running.

Race 6 – Keep Your Cool & True To Form
Keep Your Cool backs up after a strong second placing last start. She’s been super consistent this preparation and continues to race well. Reece has selected her as his Value Tip of the Day. The draw is a touch tricky, but she’s going well enough to overcome it.
True To Form has gained a start and Track Kat is confident in his chances. He’s third-up, drops in class, and if he brings his best, this race is well within reach.

Race 8 – Mrs Chrissie & Recommendation
Mrs Chrissie returns to her favourite track. She’ll be ridden quietly — as is her style — and we’ll look to settle her in a good spot in what shapes as a genuinely run race. She’s drawn well and we expect to see improvement around the Caulfield bend.
Recommendation also loves this track and trip. He’ll benefit from getting around the bend and is another we expect to improve sharply. He’ll be ridden where he’s most comfortable.

Race 9 – Until Valhalla
We finish the day with our in-form mare. She gets in well at the weights and, although drawn wide, we’re hopeful she can find a good spot if the pace goes on early. She’s flying, in a great rhythm, and certainly deserves a win in a race like this.
