scooby3051 10,695 Report post Posted August 8, 2022 Its not what he asked he asked for the list of who was the best surely there must be a record of their winners to rides somewhere.
Leggy 4,010 Report post Posted August 8, 2022 Maybe. I thought he was asking for the full list of amateurs and who we rated the best. You can find the lifetime record for any amateur on the site the same as for any other jockey. Akcam
Baz (NZ) 1,719 Report post Posted August 8, 2022 Thanks Leggy...yes initially I just wanted an amateur riders list that is easily accessible without going through a rabbit warren to find it! Thanks Scooby what you have suggested is even better. Â
poundforpound 745 Report post Posted August 8, 2022 John Oatham must be the best rider in NZ by a long way surely … otherwise how is it that he’s forever telling the stars like J Mac, Billy Pinn, and whomever else he decides to harass, what they’re doing wrong ?? Insider, Baz (NZ), Robert Best and 4 others 2 3
gubellini 3,923 Report post Posted August 9, 2022 Ashley Frye has her first ride as an Amateur in R4 at Riccarton today on Going Steady. A former Champion South Island Apprentice her last ride was on Zuleika on the 14/3/2014. Zuleika fell and Ashley sustained severe head injuries. Amazing she is back riding today! THE TORCH and Baz (NZ)

gubellini 3,923 Report post Posted August 10, 2022 Cubes Ashley was the best balanced apprentice in the South Island I had seen for a long time. She rode 75 winners in her abbreviated apprenticeship. A huge talent. Cubes and Baz (NZ)
