Mill Reef 119 Report post Posted July 27, 2022 Indeed, a pity he didn't come down in 2020. Covered 60 mares here last year.
Kingshill 230 Report post Posted July 27, 2022 Have booked my mare in guessing he will serve more than 60 this season. Baz (NZ)

Nasrullah 180 Report post Posted August 2, 2022 Quite interested in Staphanos by Deep Impact also as his first yearlings sold very well at Karaka this year. They are the same age and very interesting how they compared on the Japanese rankings.

By that, I presume that you mean “racehorse” rankings. d.burrow - Joan and Nasrullah

Insider 3,876 Report post Posted August 12, 2022 Nasrulla, thanks for the rankings. Looking at them and assuming the siring ability follows through [and we know that often it doesn't] it still shows Staphanos in a strong light. One could expect or at least hope that his future is to at least the level that Satano Aladdin is showing and for my three pence worth Satano Aladdin is really promising! Mill Reef 119 Report post Posted August 24, 2022 Gee, and didn't he win well. They all seem to have something. Stoked for the Rich Hill team. You could say they went on a bit of a limb, SS blood hadn't worked down under. It's early days but he could be a game changer; a revigoration of our gene pool that was well overdue. Mill Reef 119 Report post Posted October 12, 2022 I guess there has to be some slight reservations given the track conditions yesterday but Grand Impact won too well for many excuses. Fascinating to see how he performs in the Coolmore. Nice to see us taking tea to China, Per Incanto's going ok in OZ too. Good to hear Satono Aladdin will serve 130 mares this season.
