ivanthegreat 1,123 Report post Posted July 14, 2022 It will be interesting to see how Rodley handles the selections at Riccarton today with McNab riding quite a few fancied runners. At Cambridge on Wednesday it was quite blatant how the selections remarkably missed a few obvious winners eg. Race 1. In 4 picks Samina Bibi who was equal favorite on F/O wasn't picked in 4 selections. Race 6. Red Vienna Favorite on F/O market wasn't in his 4 selections. These 2 horses were effortless winners and standouts for the day YET not a mention from the Jockeys MANAGER FFS. So that makes him either a hopeless Selector OR a hopeless Manager OR BOTH. In the leadup to Race 1 he had an interview with Graham Rogerson which was very good value BUT unfortunately missed the opportunity to talk to Richie/Murray who had 3 runners two of these being ammongst the 3 favorites. NOT ONLY THIS but they won the next race with the highly promising Calvaria ridden by Mick Dee ( which I would have thought warranted an interview in its own )......... Well he did eventually but too late to run your Quaddie selections through. It is not possible to do justice to both roles is it ? END OV. Calvaria owned by Mick Dee’s parents so a bit of a gimme after first up effort…..

Pete Lane 600 Report post Posted July 15, 2022 Personally I take minimal notice of what these guys tip out. Especially when they start raving on about money movers. Palliser, JJ Flash, We're Doomed and 1 other

I take no notice of these guys at all.

These guys are Jockey Managers who get them rides on horses they presumably think can win. When they do, and have not been mentioned, some might question the ethics involved. ivanthegreat, Huey, Archer and 4 others 5

Palliser 715 Report post Posted July 18, 2022 Bit like Kevin Myers incident years ago .. what's the difference here ? Rodley obviously knew they were royal chances, but fails to even mention them in his selections. K.M got roasted back then and quite rightly told Trackside where to stick their programme after that. Memphis3 1,222 Report post Posted July 18, 2022 BZ from Get On was working for Sky in Sydney. He had a tip for a horse and backed it but never mentioned it in his top four picks. His actions didn’t pass the reasonable person test. He got moved on from Sky and ended up at Racing. Com . The rest is history. A very convincing analyst but it seems the more reasons he has for a horse to win the less chance it has. Even to the extent of shaving his head after a losing bet. Good for a laugh tho
