I probably won't bet, I haven't seen such poor fields at Addington for years. Too many slow ones for my liking. Royal Pride was an eye catching run last week. Money made on 7 races, with stable mate Heisenberg substituted for late scratching of Henry Hubert. Only two winner however for Friday, 3 seconds, no thirds and 2 fourths. Harry Potter did break when leading into the home straight and Swell Time running on from tail of the field. Classy Dancer's ($2.70 top four) sulky seat was also struck by another runner, resulting in that horses driver to get 2 days suspension for careless driving. Glenledi Chief did beat Regazzo Mach but sat parked and wilted late for fourth. ($2.60 top four) . john legend 743 Report post Posted July 4, 2022 my 2 losers had excuses 4th and 5th. dont usually pick 7 out of 7 (nobody can all the time) but betting can be profitable as our group have proved over the last 20 years.Addington has been the best for reliability (minus loose class trotters)everyone has their own methods .one thing that is great asset is ability to replay all horses previous starts including trials. He won easily but I didn't back it. Royal Pride is a good horse, he's already won over $60,000 and only a four year old. I don't think he is trotting evenly yet and can still make mistakes but the horse has a big engine and speed. Master trainer Fred Fletcher will sort him out... when that happens I think the horse will be a consistent winner and place getter.
