One of my grandsons is in his late teens.

He studies Thoroughbred  racing and Breeding  form  like Tony Enting, Phil Brown, Dean Nowell,  Adrian Joe and myself, used to do at Matamata College.

Year 1965 or so.

He sent me his tongue in cheek selections for tomorrow''s Otaki Maori Race Meeting.

My Grandson's very  serious comment though  was to follow jockey Tamyia Taiaroa.

This is my grandson's  email to me. spelling and rawness.

I really love Tamyia Taiaroa's ridin( sic )  style.

Not just tomorrow but through the winter.Wtch ( !!)   her rides.

She has beautiful balance. She is very kind to horses. Always pats them at the barrier. Quiet (sic quite ) often trots well passed (  !!)  the barrier for a solid warm up.

She smiles.Tamyria looks hapi, ( sic )

132 rides this season for 12 wins.

Tamyia comes from a respected Foxton racing family. Her grandfather Arnold was a handy jockey.
