Gruff 2,790 Report post Posted May 28, 2022 Had a big day so had to punt early using the 'Heavy 8' .... would of been a Dead 6 at worst, are they not suppose to bang that thing in numerous points around the course? Preferably where the Horses run 100 1, Memphis3 and chelseacol
chelseacol 2,488 Report post Posted May 28, 2022 Happens all the time Gruff they seriously don't care about the punter - how many upgrades or downgrades happen after the first race in this country. Shambles
arjay 451 Report post Posted May 28, 2022 Have to agree with Gruff, Pukekohe from Heavy to soft, and Friday Wingatui from Good 4 to soft after 1 race. One makes selections on available info to be beaten by stupidity. chelseacol and goldcape
gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted May 30, 2022 Penetrometer readings are best ignored. 1200m times are a better guide. Race one the maidens ran 1.11.48. I have a share in a horse that ran in Race 8. She is a real mudder. They ran the race in 1.10.05. She couldn’t run that time downhill! Baz (NZ) and Pam Robson 1

One end of soft would previously have been easy and other other end probably heavy.
gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted June 5, 2022 Wingatui today listed as a Slow 7. So Much Mour one the first race over 1600m in a reported time of 1.33.38. Penetrometer readings don’t mean a thing although I would suggest the starting stalls were placed wrongly. Gruff 2,790 Report post Posted June 22, 2022 Im not sure if someones having a laugh but in most peoples reckoning a 1.11.02 1200m isnt possible on a track described as a Heavy 10, back in the day this track is Easy and certainly better than Soft. gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted June 22, 2022 You have to wonder if the 1200m barrier start is positioned in the correct place. R2 the 2yos ran 1.12.08 and R3 the Maidens ran 1.13.23. These are not times that can be run on a Heavy 10 track.

There were none yes none other than the name good 4 was dead 4 soft 5 was dead 5 soft 6 was dead 6 soft 7 was slow 7 heavy8 was slow8 heavy 9 was slow 9 heavy 10 same as before excepts includes heavy 11. Penotrometers readings are still within those same ranges so should be no change other than the fact that we do know that they are only a guide and race times as the best guide. TurnyTom 1,534 Report post Posted June 22, 2022 Just NZ Racing, totally inaccurate and punters not correctly informed, day after day ... just accept the BS as it ain't gonna change Thanks God for Aussie racing Baz (NZ) and Black Kirrama
arjay 451 Report post Posted June 22, 2022 Gross negligence, I wonder if a punter took those responsible to court, how would that go? Stipes seem to hand out big fines in both codes for frivolous breaches of rules, should we put those responsible for incorrect track conditions in front of them? gubellini 3,993 Report post Posted June 22, 2022 Punters got badly burnt on Magdala in Race 8 yesterday. Last start she ran a slashing 2= at Avondale. They ran 1.44.86 for the 1600m. That is her go. Yesterday they ran the 1600m in 1.40.56. She was under pressure at the 1000m finishing 9/11 and 9.2 lengths from the winner.
