Blue 1,095 Report post Posted March 20, 2022 I note in the Herald today the passing of Alex Goryl. I don't think he set many records but was a long and faithful servant of our noble sport. ivanthegreat, JJ Flash, Gruff and 4 others 5

john legend 743 Report post Posted March 20, 2022 thanks Blue. I remember a lot of his good horses eg able hobson. He liked trotters . More importantly was a great guy and ' Alex would help people in the industry. He came from humble beginnings arriving in NZ with other orphans after the 2nd world war .He had nothing but ambition and built up a large Business in Newton Auckland central. He was always a keen harness racing man and developed his place at Ardmore. Condolences to his partner Gillian.rgds John Penney Thejanitor, JJ Flash and tasman man
