Ohokaman 5,843 Report post Posted February 8, 2022 So sensible Australia opens its International borders to all vaxxed travellers on February 21…… International and domestic tourism losses since the start of the pandemic totalled A$101.7 billion ($NZ108.8 billion), according to government body Tourism Research Australia. International travel spending in Australia plunged from A$44.6 billion in the 2018-19 financial year to A$1.3 billion in 2020-21, it said. New Zealand Tourism ? Aussies have to wait until July to travel here.. Rest of the World ? - October Clueless….. meomy

chevy86 2,710 Report post Posted February 8, 2022 1 hour ago, Ohokaman said: So sensible Australia opens its International borders to all vaxxed travellers on February 21…… The flaw in the Australian PM's statement (and I saw the speech) announcing this policy is that he mandated "double vaccination" when we know that any efficacy from the "sauce" has now well and truly worn off after the double shot. The lunacy shows no sign of abating. Gruff 2,800 Report post Posted February 8, 2022 Well said Chev, Wiles has stated publicly the Sauce is worthless for 'omicrom' ( and only risky for those infected with it) yet they continue the narrative without deviation. People can protest till the Cows come home it will not change anything ,which was proved with the 3 waters disgrace... Adern and Luxon will not talk to protestors on Parliament grounds, one would see this as a golden Opportunity for the New National leader, the New Normal runs deep in Politics

That's politics for sure, he's said enough previously to suggest he won't make one iota of difference and the people need someone to slow up this lunacy NOW. There is enough information out there to blow the lid off this BS and he is in the best position to do so, make or break for sure but he isnt showing true leadership qualities dock leaf
Ohokaman 5,843 Report post Posted February 8, 2022 While the Govt pay out millions to these “ modellers” ( scruffy Uni types who could do with a wash ) these projections get more bizarre. Remember these for March….. 6-18,000 cases a day by mid March ( Remember their 80,000 by Waitangi Day ? Actually 147….) 2000 - 3000 + in Hospital Between 460 and 1450 will die….. No wonder Hipkins is sceptical…… https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/covid-19-omicron-outbreak-covid-response-minister-chris-hipkins-and-radio-host-mike-hosking-face-off-over-modelling/C7URJAOCGEY4YILHUD6UXBXACA/ dock leaf
Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted February 8, 2022 The modelling was carried out by an overseas group, IHME, and was met with scepticism by the, "scruffy Uni types who could do with a wash", here in NZ. While they didn't dismiss the modelling entirely, they noted NZ has unique circumstances. They also said preventive measures had to take into account economic factors. One could speculate that the Govt's Red Traffic Light setting, was implemented at the correct time and is working well, keeping numbers down and flattening the curve. jack

Never clueless, that's what they call trying to force people to go Digital with everything and using a Vaccine Pass aka Intended as longer term called a GREENPASS to enter places without any Democracy or right to a Private Life free from Big Brother. Do you remember those BB programs to "normalise' people to be filmed inside one's own home and now been filmed in one's home, with none of us knowing who has access to that information, dumped on people with Work From Home and under the guise of Telehealth which is known to be problematic, so no one has Privacy in one's own home?) Look up Professor James Highman and Otago University and the likes of Philippa Howden-Chapman and it all links to Climate Change questionable thinking and practices on their part. They think and assume the further one has to travel from distance lands one leaves a greater Carbon Footprint because they have flown or traveled by Ship. Such a darn shame they fail to look in some people's rubbish bins and their own back yards to see they themselves and those who are often in countries closer to New Zealand leave a greater Carbon Footprint. It's insulting to all Europeans to be treated so badly and in such a Discriminatory manner. Thankfully GETUSHOME UK put on well organised Repatriation Flights for their people to return home, but not little ole New Zealand hence GROUNDED KIWIS. We heard a young New Zealand woman stranded in the USA committed suicide last week because she was struggling and saw no end in sight to the carry on to return to NZ. How many others who have done the same who can't return? Shameful and criminal of Politicians, Public Health Advisors, United Nations/ Who and others if ever there has been. Why are there not Repatriation flights for all the Indians and Islanders who would like to return to their homelands to be united with their families who have lost jobs and not qualified to work in New Zealand, and those not adhering to NZ Laws, or who have learnt skills they can take back to put to better use in their home countries ? meomy 971 Report post Posted February 9, 2022 Meanwhile this is happening in Canada. What are the Odds for Ardern to make a speech almost word for word and to quote Churchill? Shall we have ask the TAB to offer Odds? It might help get people back outdoors and living life as we all should have been the last 2 years. As the opposition party, you would expose any deception or miscalculated step of the opposition so as to make them step up their game!! however if running side by side is seen as the best strategy to oppose the many varied issues... then he is nothing more than a National member with a labour singlet beneath the suit!! If he had the courage to approach the protesters in Wellington and take the views of the protestors into parliament.... but nope!! A golden oppurtunity missed and here we have his plan availed to the general public... i have more hope in the leadership of someone like Shane Reti or Nicola Willis than this contentious wannabe As for fear of the press... did he not learn the realities of politics?
