Covid-19

I note that the Waikato District is in Level 3.  Accordingly anybody travelling from, say, Maramarua, Ngatea, Thames, Te Aroha etc to Cambridge must travel via Matamata so as to avoid entering Waikato District.  This observation was made after careful scrutiny of maps released on the internet by Jacinda's numpties.

I note that some trainers, who have stables more than 450 metres west of the Cambridge training tracks, will be unable to use those training tracks.  Once again, this is from my scrutiny of the ,maps.  But, there is a chance that good sense will prevail and such idiocy will be ignored.

If you think thats bad think about all South Islanders who despite having had no cases in over a year did not even rate a mention in Cindy's big  propaganda rant  yesterday. Its very noticeable that all the Labour MP's in Christchurch and surroundings are not saying a thing about Cup week  being a non event this year. Obviously towing the line

Starting to close to decision day.....October 18 spoken as D Day for Cup week decision ......but outdoors activities spoken of in positive terms . Plus groups of 100 on the roadmap to nowhere  !

If South stays virus free ,then there seems a good chance a reasonable crowd could be rounded up into various areas to enjoy the live racing.

There's a lot of space at those tracks !

And other than Cup days ,the crowd on other days could be bigger than 'usual' !

Correct TM but i note this government prefers to be reactive as opposed to proactive with most decisions.. One might assume the narrative could change given its  13 days to D Day and the Racing Min is her right hand man but its a longshot. Cindy appears to be only interested/obsessed about Auckland.

Pickle, were you hiding under the desk at geography lessons?

Hamilton City is in Waikato Region.  So are Colville and Taumarunui.

Waikato District is in Waikato Region.

Waikato District and Hamilton City were placed in Level 3.

Waipa District and Matamata-Piako districts were not placed in level 3.

The  Waipa District boundary is about 450 metres west of the Cambridge training track.

JJ Flash; the manner in which the South Island has been treated over this whole Covid-19 shambles is deploring in the extreme.  I measured it on my atlas;  Winton is further from Auckland than Lithuania is from England.  It is one terribly sick joke on my southern mates.

How about all those in the South Island write to these Ministers and request answers why we are still under State of Emergency 'precautions'?

Why are these precautions still necessary?

Is it 'reasonable/ unreasonable" to be in the rabbit hole we all find ourselves still in?
Who is receiving kickbacks?
Where is the adherence to The Public Health Act and other laws which must be seen to be interpreted and used in a balanced and proportionate manner?

Why have whole regions been locked in with their borders instead of individual Households as per the Spirit and Intent of The Public Health Act as it was enacted?

Ask questions and put Grant Robertson in the hot seat alongside all Politicians because they have legal obligations including ensuring THEY comply with the LAW.

( Politicians internationally come under much greater scrutiny than ours do from a Criminal/ Bribery Corruption angle, plenty of examples exist in Australia where it's common for Local Mayors and Councillors to get jailed or prosecuted)

Now, didn't Grant Robertson's father who was an accountant get jailed for fraud?

Did he sign all the loans this Government have taken out?
Ask for disclosure of them and see who is ultimately responsible for these decisions.

Go door knock and ask questions of them on video and share so we can see and hear what their excuses are.

We all have basic fundamental rights to freedoms.

Be mindful Professor Shaun Hendy has had a 5 year Gates Foundation grant around August this year to continue his works for The South Pacific Influenza Project which is a continuation of his COVID19 works.

Just because there's no cases, possibly due to the different level of Go Hard testing etc in the South Island compared to Auckland, it doesn't mean to say the Health Department won't subject South Islanders and other parts of the country to what Aucklander's have been

If we fail to hold them to account now think of what we all may potentially be subjected to for at least another 3 and a half years.

Is this what we all want, another prolonged period of this carry on with no end in sight?

@tasman man, use those examples and templates of Case Law from years gone by that are tucked away in Papers Past and hold them to account :)

Do remember there was 3 such references to articles/ Reports in the Andrew Borrowdale Judicial Review in relation to this unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in so they do have relevance. ... No idea who sourced those wee gems :)

hahah @Tauhei Notts@JJ Flash@Pickles@tasman man

There's always the good ole ask a farmer who you know if you can travel through their paddocks as most of them have gates on both sides and a way out, this was successfully done in the UK, to travel from A TO B.

There's also many a private road one can access and it's all above board as legal ways to travel..

All very true. The SI does need to start standing up for itself more. I do notice that in my day to day activities people are taking less and less notice of the various "rules" which they now consider inappropriate. The relaxation in Auck was purely because she realised the gangs and South Aucklanders were taking no notice anyhow. Polls in a next few weeks will be interesting. The Govt will be shedding support from all sides of the argument.

As from midnight tonight, the Waipa District is included in the extenion of the Level 3 boundaries as a result of a positive out of Karapiro, until Monday night. As Cambridge is in the Waipa district, will this will have a dramatic effect on the number of starters at Matamata for Saturday?

We shall rephrase your question @Fredd002. has anyone tested positive for Covid who will be in attendance, if not why are those who are Healthy being Disproportionately Disadvantaged and Discriminated against when the Public Health Act , which is the umbrella Act to the Coronavirus  Act, is not being adhered to in the Spirit and Intent of the PH & other Laws created?

The PHA was created to ensure only those who were unwell or had symptoms stayed at home, not that of those who are fit and healthy and able as has unfortunately happened and should not ever have happened.

There needs to be an application made to seek a ruling from HRC stating  a 'Declaration of Inconsistency'  with the  Coronavirus Act.

Look up HRC Facts Sheets "Discriminatory Laws."

We have put some earlier Case Laws relating to PH and Infectious, and,or Contagious Diseases in other topics.

They are there to help learn from and provide avenues we can use as templates.

Stand Tall, ask questions, use Legal avenues including  acting with others of similar thoughts and go through the Courts and apply for a Judicial Review for Racing in General Terms, along with using pre-existing options and grey areas of laws as a reasonable excuse to strike back under urgency.

There are many in the legal fraternity over the years and current who have had interests in Racing and it's times like this we need to band #Together for the Greater Good of Racing and wider needs of everyone's rights to Living

Laws are not Black and White contrary to what some may think.

Bt, in the UK there's now a like minded group of people who have formed #Together which is also inspirational

Many on council have Labour affiliation. All the city MPs + Banks Peninsula are Labour. Selwyn and Waimakariri are National. Not sure this decision is political merely a case of the organisers thinking that Level 2 is not going to change and they are going to be in a huge financial hole if they left the decision any longer. As it is this is a big loss to them financially and I guess they did not want to make it worse.. We can only wait and see what will happen to racing for the week.

Check the timing of any Gazette Notices and what may or may not be written in them, if indeed there are any specifically to your location and or venues,  Timelines and Facts are most important when it comes to adherence of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms.

On what specific grounds exactly are they using?

It's a known fact those in Drug dealing / users will, based on the balance of probabilities, have 'coughs' and runny noses.

Go figure just what specific 'evidence' they are using especially when Professor Michael Baker publically comes out in support of OPPOSITION to testing of people for Marijuana Impaired Driving , on the same day that this Lock down has taken place.

His comments are a slap in the face to all the people of New Zealand who daily get Nasal Swab tests for Covid19 and have lost their Freedom because of his own lengthy history with Unregulated and Experimental Drugs.

How much 'Funding' has the Drug Foundation had since it was set up in New Zealand?
This is an Organization it's understood that Baker himself was involved in setting up  years ago and is clearly failing those in need.
