Michael Roustoby 292 Report post Posted June 8, 2021 Recent claims that Jumps racing cannot be run on strathayr tracks are a mistake. The A.V Hiskens Steeplechase or the Cox Plate of jumping as it was nicknamed was run at Moonee Valley on the Strathayr track many times as well as other jumping races. This isn't a dig at the club or anyone i am merely correcting the statement so the wrong information isn't spread. A public service if you wish . pogo(aus) 828 Report post Posted June 8, 2021 and what a great race the Hiskens was at the Valley, even worth the annual trip to bleak city to watch it. imagine losing such an iconic race at such an iconic venue. soemthing like that would never happen in NZ would it sheep shearers. this IS a dig at plenty. but also in the public interest. meomy, Huey, Baz (NZ) and 1 other 2

Was that the race sponsored by Colgate [Hiskins] , jumping tooth brushes ...the water jump was when the horses stepped out of the wash bay and the Hill was the name of the stand !
