Aaron Bidlake 760 Report post Posted April 6, 2021 Just seen the first at Addington and see no.6 has what looked like a collar on. Do some dogs wear them in races or is it some gear they wear.
DC9 203 Report post Posted April 7, 2021 Lol I handled dogs for 8 years or so and the only time I got called in to the stipes room was for leaving the collar on a dog in a race. Got off with a warning. I'd say the same thing happened here.

Wasn't a good feeling looking at the lead after closing the lid and realising the collar was still on and you could hear the bunny rolling

Flabbergasted 67 Report post Posted April 14, 2021 I have seen this a few times and whilst it's almost always accidental there have been different determinations. in Australia the stewards don't seem as kind. In a couple of instances the dog was disqualified, in others they weren't and handlers fined as much $300.
