I believe the enquiry siren should have been rung within seconds of the winner passing the post.  Such an enquiry could have been sorted out by the time the weigh in had been completed.  I think the stipendiary stewards should be proactive in matters such as this; ring the siren, and if nobody protests withdraw the enquiry immediately.

Agree but because none of those interfered with looked serious winning chances the enquiry would of been thrown out, stipes should have moved regardless... that action altered the race outcome which never sits well with those on the losing end

I agree gruff they may not have beaten the winner but at a recent meeting at the same venue Capt Tom also had the challengers covered easily and yet the stewards changed the placings .Would be nice to have some consistency.

Fair call, dont know about covered easily but set a precedent. ..but this crew dont seem to understand the concept
