So Thad, Steve Hunt, Popps,, and a guy I don’t know are dissecting the 1400 G1 sprint at Te Rapa

Guy who I don’t know has just declared that they should ride Levante more forward

Can anyone think of a horse like her who was ever ridden against her natural pattern and performed well ?
In my experience if you ride them upside down they finish upside down

You do see this many times, horses than run on well from the back in their races, then they think if riden handy will finish the same, but alas this just doesn't work, why would you dream of trying to change her race pattern, crazy in my book.

I remember back in in the eighties the good horse Abit Leica was a back runner who would storm home (sometimes "Abit Late"). They did try riding him forward some time later with moderate success.
From memory...never really showed the same turn of foot he had when ridden back.

Levante clearly reads RC - took care of the tactical debate itself.

Only needs O Man, he knows his horses but cloudy on US politics 😆 wasnt that happy to see Collett use the whip to that extent given the  circumstances and track bias, but hey...wheres the sectionals?  we know 34 sec was the best from two winners but little else ..that ive seen 🙄
