tasman man 742 Report post Posted January 12, 2021 Pain ,the Aussie Cricket captain which is considered most IMPORTANT job in Australia , got the job after the disgraceful sandpaper cheating not so long ago. His vision and stated purpose was to bring a little decorum to the position and improve the behaviour etc etc. Yesterday Iron Gloves Paine dropped several catches and reverted to what Aussies know and do best.....insults and sledging and trying to bully the Umpires into making decisions to help their cause.....an utter disgrace ! Meanwhile the Sandpaper plotter S.Smith was seen interfering with the Indian crease markings and ultimately the playing surface...a few days after being dubiously being awarded some honour as a 'player of the Decade'. Australian behaviour......they must feel proud .......they are young and free ! pogo(aus)

chevy86 2,704 Report post Posted January 19, 2021 Nice dose of karma. And what a match! Another reason why I am thankful to be a sports nut, and not an opera or ballet follower.

The Indians.....below full strength , under attack from some rascist spectators ,injured and battered with hostile intimatory bowling were oh so brave and determined for last two tests.....like Horatius at the bridge ! Monty Python......is that all you got ? Grubby Pain ,the man brought in to restore honour........hahaha ! The all-Aussie match referee panel headed by David Boon ,the beer drinking legend ????? I remember ,and saw John Snow tickling up the Aussies and an Aussie umpire warning him....Ray Illingworth took his team from the field. Have you seen "Fire of Babylon" about West Indies standing up like these courageous Indians did ? Its an oldie but a goodie ! Karma indeed ! Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted January 20, 2021 A vintage Test Series right up until the final overs. By the end I couldn't help but cheer an Indian victory. With all there brave, fresh-faced young guns, standing up to a battering from the big angry Aussies, it was like a Hollywood script. I can't wait for the 30-30 documentary on the Series. tasman man
