Yes, I think there's a confusion with the other STRADIVARIUS who ran in the 2015 NZ 2000 Guineas behind XTRAVAGANT. As for the main thread topic, there's been contamination of some feed from a company called Gain Supplies. The feed was contaminated with something called Zilpaterol which is used in the US to encourage weight gain in cattle. Needless to say, it's illegal for thoroughbreds over here. The greater concern for me is while the French testing authorities found the issue, the Irish did not and they've acknowledged their testing methodology isn't as strong as the French and with the recent instance of champion jockey Oisin Murphy testing positive for cocaine in France, I'm just wondering whether insufficient testing methods are allowing some things to go undetected.
