mikenz 1,070 Report post Posted July 17, 2020 That last race today for Davey Mac was a easy call, simply couldn't see them in the fog.a risky date but in the end all done and dusted be good if all the turnovers were able to be accessed to see how today went. Plenty of locals on course, the bar was busy and the caterer ran out of food. Good fields, good winter track and great racing. Bit of a worry if 300-400 people is the biggest crowd they have had for years. And the President only wants to race there for another 3 to 4 years. Good fields, good winter track and great Surely they wont stop racing at Timaru, Oamaru an all weather track is probably ok for insurance but grass tracks especially in dry places (mostly)is still the best way, looking at Timaru yesty, and Riccarton last week they just about need one at Riccarton just to be racing

It makes you wonder about the quality of reporting about other subjects that we know less about, but just assume the reporter knows what they are talking about. dock leaf

I love when i'm reading stuff in the morning and in the section for horse racing there would regularly be a story about motor racing . Racings , racing to some people i suppose . It's fair to say a lot that write for the news are lacking a lot of experience in many fields,a lot have had to diversify on what they write just to stay in the job.the media is going through a raft of changes.
