Ozzie is a bit of a mess really, different states different rules.

How is it a mess? You don’t know what you’re talking about. Australia has been racing all through Covid-19. Thank goodness for State Boundaries. Stakes have been lowered and some races taken off this years calendar (eg, Qld Oaks G1 and Tatts Tiara G1), but racing has endured everywhere - except Tasmania where racing is not so significant anyway.

Fair comment ,they have done well to keep racing,no doubt but when you talk about oz you got some states that seem ok some like Victoria that's got an outbreak, how the hell they police each state for covid 19 must be difficult, would we as kiwis want a travel bubble at present probably not.

The main difference between the States is the fact that Vic and NSW saved for a rainy day. On the other hand, Racing Qld didn’t and as a result, due to a reduction in current revenues, it has had to cut Stakes back a bit - across the board. However, even after those cuts there are good stakes even at Country or mid week in SE Qld. The main thing is they have kept racing (and livelihoods) alive. Cairns is further from Brisbane than Melbourne is from Brisbane. In that sense it would be impossible for Racing Vic to run Qld Racing.

Nothing to do with the protesters.

I have a share in a horse racing at Eagle Farm today. There are 2 Owners tickets allowed per horse - if it starts. The 2 owners have to go to a pre-designated area, situated on the “Public Lawn” area. There will be a maximum of 20 people allowed in total into that designated area. The 2 cannot go to other areas. If you leave to go home you must report and sign out! Meantime, Football Stadium can be half full! Ridiculous! I will be watching the win from the comfort of home....
