We had a bit of rain this past week and it has been cool, but Heavy 11 seems off. How much did they spend on the track/drainage at Pukekohe?

If it's H11 now what will it be in August when the ground becomes really saturated?

Bit more rain coming maybe they should transfer the meeting to AVONDALE.

Hard to believe .... and why can't they release the noms?

And NZTR carries on where it left off .

As for Counties , they have a few meetings there over the next few months , how deep could it get with some real winter rain . How much time and money was spent on the drainage work a couple of seasons ago .

A complete snap shot of the problem NZ racing has in track maintenance .

Yet again no clarification what the hold up is or length of delay , they don't get , this is what pisses off people , what's the secret . They're worse than the KGB .

And the turmoil seems have halted posting of trial results from Ellerslie today. 7 videos have been up for a couple of hours but no actual trial result details. Ellerslie a nice Dead 5 but Pukekohe Heavy 11 in a drought? Rain forecast Thursday, Friday, Saturday so maybe reverting to a Hurdles/Steeples Day and out looking for Noms??

Dont think its lack of nominations probably embarrassed by the amount of noms now trying to wiggle there way out

In the end just working out the ratings to get horses into appropriate races , so why the F#@K not just say . This is a simple thing , they just don't get it .

From the respective barrier positions at Pukekohe 150 horses will get a start. Assuming all horses accept 53 will miss out. Apparently those 53 will be given priority at the next Northern meeting. Won’t be long before there is a massive log jam of runners.

Enough noms for about 16 races. It is a pity several of the races have max field sizes of 10 or 12. Certainly hard to understand how Ellerslie can be dead and Counties heavy

My guess it will end up in the 1.14/15 range...no traffic for 4or 5 months

My lawn is 1.11   how is it so hard

Certainly could have got 1 extra race out of each of the 800/1100 races , so possibly 4 more races .

This should have been done as reward for the owners that put their horses back into work to help maintain an industry . The ones that miss this week will have to contend with horses coming out of today's Ellerslie trials and others not prepared to race on H11 . Also the next northern meeting is 2 weeks away at Te Rapa .

Gonna be a lot of unhappy owners very quickly , a must to put on more meetings .

They asked people to get horses into work ASAP , they done that in spades looking at the numbers , now up to NZTR to come to the party .

Their response to this will probably be an indication of what we can expect going forward. You would hope they might show more respect for owners than they have previously.

Hi nomates

Yes a lot of money was spent on the track 5 years ago and without it we would be much worse off.  It is a made to be a summer track as natural bore water.  If you had your time again I think you might have picked slightly higher ground for a track and with little daylight hours it is hard to dry.  It will be in very good order for racing on though.

I wish you good luck for Saturday , it's just great to be back racing .
