Ludwig 150 Report post Posted May 25, 2020 3 hours ago, Stables said: We don't need right wing Boris Johnson and Donald Trump lookalikes. These people couldn't give a stuff about the small business man or the workers laid off and now on the dole queue. We need people with compassion and understanding who will provide funding and support where necessary. The National party has a long history of reducing benefits and subsidies and if re-elected I have no doubt they will continue to do the same. We need a leg up, not the carpet whipped out from underneath us It was the last National govt with Bill English as finance minister who gave the biggest benefit increases in decades. But it's sad when someone is so in love with one side, their objectivity disappears, and all they can see is the negative on the other. Very sad people. meomy
Ludwig 150 Report post Posted May 25, 2020 It's interesting that Ian McKelvie has been kept on as Racing spokesperson, but with a very low ranking. It would be interesting to see who they would appoint as Racing Minister, should they be elected. meomy

Ludwig, it's a positive if we have Ministers who do own or have a share in a horse, some in the past have been open with their horse racing assets. well one would hope they see them as an asset. We need some joy in our horse racing industry pop up in Parliament as it helps with the promotion of our sport and business of Racing across the globe. Would be nice if we had some ministers who do something other than cycling and build and ride on cycle lanes, wouldn't it?
