Patiti 274 Report post Posted April 30, 2020 The problem is the profits, if any, on the fixed odds betting and the betting margins.

Tauhei Notts 1,412 Report post Posted May 1, 2020 I note that in rugby union, pick the score has a 32.5% deduction. I see on rugby union fixed odds bets that the book is set to a 5% deduction. I think Pick The Score is a great competition but with that horrendous take out; it is not on. What a pity those with the supposed intellectual grunt at the TAB destroyed Pick The Score betting. I thought that quinella pools had a 16.5% takeout, so I surprised to see it is 21%. I've seen a pub bookie pay out tote plus 10% on quinellas. Silly me!!! The bastard could pay out tote odds plus 25% on quinellas and still have a margin. Dumb me thought the parasite was being generous. Not so. Houlahan's Dream 535 Report post Posted May 2, 2020 Incredible that their % are so high but they are on the skids. Age old rule applies I suppose: it's not what you earn, its what you spend. Baz (NZ)

Not only that it obviously has an effect on turnover, i.e returns are less therefore stifles punting Baz (NZ)
